Chapter: 24 Sakuya Izayoi Part-1

"Summoning"

I used the Sakuya card while crushing, just as when I called Hakumen no Mono, a column of light appeared in front of me.

I can't see anything inside it, interestingly, even with my electromagnetic field active it only gives me a confusion of information, as if the area inside is simply "Outer" this world.

This time I say, "Yes." After all, unlike her, my little fox, she would not be easy to notice from Shinigami, as long as, of course, she kept away from him and did not use her unique ability to absorb negative emotions.

Right in front of me, I could observe with interest the text that seemed to have a default background for Sakuya in this world. But not only that, I could also naturally see all her deepest secrets-

After a moment she vanishes, revealing Sakuya Izayoi inside. She is not very tall, only a couple of inches shorter than me. She has silver braided hair and striking red eyes and is dressed in a blue maid uniform with black stockings.

I was interested in observing her intentions toward me and seeing how much she could understand about me, since I was "Yokai" though incomplete, at least for the time being.

I remain seated with Tokawo in my lap, stroking her back and her tails that keep asking for more attention, her seeming to follow my words to the letter.

"What's the last thing you remember?" I ask. This is important... To be able to figure out how to be able to handle the situation in the best way, after all I had a lot of interest in finding out the secrets of Gacha.

She seems uncertain how to respond. "I... I'm dead." She responds, seeming that this strange situation is finally sinking in and she is accepting this truth.

At least she wasn't an OP character of Umineko (Umineko no Naku Koro ni) or even Masadaverse (Shinza Bashou), if she was then I might really be forced to the thought of my suicide, before the previou yet to meet the Kishin.

And even the fact that she is dead opens up two possibilities. The Gacha always takes some alternate version that always dies. Perhaps to ease the detachment from the previous world

"My condolences... I guess. But do you know how you got here now?" I say with interest, in a way I found it very interesting to slowly discover all the secrets Gacha was keeping from me.

"The Master brought me here..." she replies with her usual indifference and calm that reminded me why I liked her character.

Sakuya Izayoi - Pov

I should be dead...

I at least thought so as I watched the dark abyss surrounding me with nothing I could do, I was helpless, not even my ability to manipulate time could help me on this occasion to my misfortune.

I didn't know how it had happened, I was performing my usual duties at the Scarlet Devil Mansion in order to satisfy my mistress to the fullest. But at some point I found myself in this space, as if in just an instant the entire dimension of Gensokyo was destroyed by a supreme entity.

But then came the feelings of uncertainty and fear.... I was dying, I felt the abyss devouring me, what was going to happen to me? Did it have something to do with that boobless girl protecting the barrier? Did I even have the gap-yokai?... I had no way of knowing.

It was then that a blood-colored writing appeared in front that for some reason sent shivers down my spine that I had never felt even facing my mistress when she was angry.

A chance to live...

[Do you want to live?]

These simple words shook my whole being; I did not know if I was doing the right thing. But I wanted to live and meet the mistress and everyone in the mansion again at least one last time.

"Yes"

[Then you will serve 'him' as a maid for eternity? Is that okay with you?]

When I had this opportunity, I knew instinctively what it was: a proposal of servitude, in another world. I was not forced, but I accepted it anyway.

When I focus on myself again, I am no longer in that horrible, silent abyss, but I am standing in front of a boy. A muscular man, to be exact, with dark, curly hair and bright black eyes that seem to stare into my soul.

He is sitting with a small white fox looking at me. The fox also stares at me strangely, for some reason sending shivers down my spine as I stare into its piercing, frightening red eyes.

Was it a yokai? While I could remember a certain mature woman in a mobster cap with a thin red ribbon, violet eyes, long blond hair, and an eerie smile as her nine tails danced.

Deciding to ignore the little fox for the moment I looked at the person in front of me, I immediately understood who he was without having any need to ask....

It was the person I agreed to serve. I feel strange to see that he is human or so I thought, but for some reason it gave me a familiar feeling that I could not understand as if there was something preventing me from doing so.

But at least my instincts seemed to be working as they told me that this man in front of me was really dangerous beyond comprehension. More dangerous than an ordinary yokai. Perhaps an existence like "My Mistress."

I wait for him to speak to me. But he remains silent.... I understand. Power games... No problem. I already know I'm the one with the lowest level of this relationship.... Not that I minded it was just a maid.

After a little small talk I begin to explain my circumstances in more detail. "After my death I felt something reaching out to me. a strange screen appeared before me. Instinctively I knew it was a proposal for another chance," I say honestly.

I don't feel like lying to this person....

No, the truth was much simpler. I had my code as a perfect maid and refused to lie to my new master.

Kazuya Pov

"Um..." He seems to ponder with his chin between his fingers. "Very interesting..." I was beginning to understand this Gacha, it was only a matter of time before I discovered all his secrets.

"Then I must thank you for accepting the summons," I could not help but say to the beautiful silver-haired maid in front of me.

Sakuya greeted me politely. "I should be the one to thank the master for bringing me here. For saving my life."

I shake my head. "In short, hiring new maids and people to assist in the maintenance of this place is difficult to do on short notice. So a maid of your ability would be greatly appreciated. Will you serve as my maid?"

She tilts her head toward me. "You summoned me, but you're not making demands? Instead, are you asking?"

I shrug. "There is nothing to bind you to me or my orders. You accepted the summons and are here now, but that's all. You could leave if you wish. I'm not sure how you would get back to your home universe, but I'm sure someone like you could find a way, or I could help give you enough time. "

I understand," she replies. "Very well, I will agree to serve you as your maid. On one condition."

"Name it," I say, going back to petting my little fox. I have no idea what kind of condition or price she will be interested in. But fortunately for me we were within the range of my active electromagnetic field, I could somewhat understand her intentions and emotions.

"I will only serve as your maid," she states firmly. "I will clean up your messes around this house. I will not fight your battles or take care of your enemies. I am not a fighter, a murderer or a thug. I will defend this house and its occupants, but I will only be a maid..."

"It's perfectly acceptable," I reply, although in truth my feelings are a bit mixed. But in a way I could understand her, and I didn't want to be too much of a jerk to her.

But then again, not only is this one of the easiest things I could have asked for, but I also don't want to rely solely on a powerful ally. I am not a hot-headed shounen protagonist....

After my return from the world of One Piece I was undoubtedly much stronger, having conquered the strongest devil fruit and learned its power system and its various techniques. All of this, combined with my various powers and the future alliances I had in mind, would lead me to become the next Kishin, even without her help, it was only a matter of time.

Making strong allies is one thing. Relying only on them to do the heavy lifting without me doing anything? Absolutely not. I was certainly not the kind of person who needed others; I could even do everything myself.

"Defending my home and the people I care about within it is already more than enough to take a burden off my shoulders," I calmly went on to explain the various needs she had to take care of for me.

"In that case, I look forward to serving you Master...?" she trails off, looking questioningly at me.

Ah, right. "I'm sorry, I guess I haven't introduced myself," I say, I was too focused on the summoning. "My name is Kazuya Yagami, but feel free to call me whatever you deem necessary for your convenience."
