Chapter 1: Second Chance

At the end of the semester, Ryūjin, an ordinary high school student, is meeting his friends to discuss their future plans, including which university they want to enroll in after graduation. As he walks towards his friends, Ryūjin notices a lady's handbag being robbed. Without hesitation, he chases after the thief, but the thief pushes him from the bridge. Ryūjin's life ends abruptly as he hears a mysterious voice.

"I am the Goddess of Reincarnation," the voice declares. Ryūjin looks shocked. "Wait, did I really die?" he asks.

"Yes, you died. If you hadn't tried to stop the thief, he would have been caught by the police, and the bag would have been returned to the lady," the goddess explains. "Thanks to your actions, the thief was arrested as a murderer."

Ryūjin is taken aback. "Oh, come on. Did I die for something so mundane? How embarrassing."

"That's why I am the Goddess of Reincarnation. I will give you a second chance," the goddess announces. "You will be reincarnated into a world of magic, swords, and sorcery. However, your mission is to kill the hero."

"Kill the hero?" Ryūjin asks, confused. "But isn't the hero supposed to be the good guy?"

"Yes, the hero is the one who defeats the Demon King and saves the world," the goddess confirms. "However, after defeating the Demon King, the hero must die, or else new, more powerful demons will be summoned to wreak havoc upon humanity."

"I see. But how am I supposed to kill him?" Ryūjin inquires.

"I will grant you the unique skill 'Monstrosity Mastery,'" the goddess replies. "With this skill, you can become stronger than the hero."

Ryūjin is intrigued. "Oh, really? How do I use this skill?"

"This skill can level up by killing monsters," the goddess explains. "For example, by defeating 50 goblins, you can level up. But as you progress, you'll need to challenge stronger monsters to continue leveling up. Each level grants you boosts to your HP, stamina, and MP, as well as new skills."

Ryūjin nods, understanding the task ahead. "I'm ready. When should I kill the hero?"

"The Demon King will revive soon, and after the hero defeats him, you should strike," the goddess advises. "You have about 18 years after your reincarnation."

Ryūjin takes a deep breath, preparing for his new life. "So, I reincarnated as a comaner?"

"It's time. I am reincarnating you now," the goddess says as Ryūjin's consciousness fades into the unknown.

And thus begins Ryūjin's journey in a new world, where he must navigate the complexities of power, morality, and destiny as he strives to fulfill his mission and carve his own path as a reincarnated villain.
