The Real Saint

The next morning the group arrived to near by town, one thing was clear after meeting Marie and Mozart there could be other servant summoned by the counter force, as they then heard the sound of Wyvern as they looked at it

Mash looked at Ritsuka. "Senpai what do we do"

Ritsuka then summoned Arrow of the heart. "What are we waiting for attack"

Morgan nodes as then he jumped into the air, as her woman destroyed many of the Wyvern, the ones that didn't take it down was done my her mage craft, Kama made a few clones some lead the people to escape other shot arrow's with her darling Ritsuka, Mash blocks a few attack as the soldiers and everyone heard a voice

"Soldier everyone to the left block the attack there"

The group saw a woman, she had fair skin, Yellow hair and saint like look to her, she had sky blue eyes as they meet Ritsuka Sea Blue. She was wearing a white version of Jalter outfits, she was holding what seems like a flag

Mash just blinked looked at her. "Is anyone as confused as me"

Da Vinci then spoke. "Yeah"

Ritsuka looked at them. "Time for Questions later, we have city to save".

The group quickly regrouped, moving with precision to tackle the approaching wyverns. Ritsuka unleashed the Arrow of the Heart, which burned with a fierce light, tearing through the creatures in his path. Morgan, relentless as ever, leaped high into the air, raining down her destructive magic on the beasts that dared to get too close.

Kama's clones darted through the crowd, guiding civilians to safety while taking down any wyverns that came too close. Her arrows flew through the air, each one aimed with precision. Mash, ever the stalwart shield, blocked attacks aimed at the fleeing townspeople, protecting them with unwavering dedication.

The woman, who bore an uncanny resemblance to Jalter but radiated a saintly presence, nodded toward them in acknowledgment. She raised her flag high, rallying the townspeople and soldiers alike with a calm yet powerful voice.

"Stand firm!" she called out, her voice carrying over the din of the battle. "Hold your ground and have faith. Together, we can protect what is dear to us!"

With her as their beacon, the soldiers and townspeople found renewed strength, joining the fight alongside Ritsuka's group. They pushed back the wyverns, creating a defensive line and holding their ground.

Da Vinci looked at the saintly figure in awe. "It's… Jeanne d'Arc, isn't it?"

Ritsuka gave a slight smile, both in admiration and relief. "It seems like the Counter Force sent us another ally." He turned back toward the battlefield. "Let's not waste her help—press forward!"

With Jeanne leading the charge alongside them, the tide of the battle shifted. The group fought harder, feeling the energy and conviction that radiated from Jeanne's presence. Together, they managed to drive the wyverns back, saving the town from destruction.

As the last of the wyverns fell, the townspeople began cheering, thanking their protectors. Ritsuka and his team gathered together, catching their breaths as they looked at Jeanne, who lowered her flag, her expression softening.

Ritsuka stepped forward, bowing his head in gratitude. "Thank you for your help, Jeanne."

Jeanne smiled warmly. "I was simply doing my duty. This town needed saving, and I couldn't stand by and do nothing."

Mash glanced between Jeanne and Jalter's memory in her mind, feeling a strange mix of familiarity and awe. "To think… we'd meet the real Jeanne d'Arc here."

Jeanne chuckled softly. "Perhaps destiny had a hand in our meeting. For now, let's make sure this town is safe and secure. There is much to discuss, and I have a feeling our paths are intertwined."

With Jeanne joining them, the group felt a renewed sense of purpose. As they moved to help the townspeople rebuild and fortify their defenses, they knew this was only the beginning of a new chapter in their journey, one where allies and enemies might not be as they seemed.

Ritsuka looked at Jeane. "Do you have any idea what is happening in this Singularty".

Jeane looked at them. "Um no, other then I have weeken, I don't know why, but maybe is because I have just been summoned, or maybe because it becomes of death being so recent so my legend is not so ready"

Ritsuka looked at her and let out a chuckle. "Will this gonna shock you"

One Explanations of events later.

Jeane coughed as she looked at him. "There is an evil version of me, but it can't be possible, even after my death I had no hate no anger no noting to the people that killed me, so it should not be possible"

Ritsuka nodded, understanding Jeanne's shock. "I know it's hard to accept, but she's real. Jalter embodies a twisted version of you, fueled by anger and vengeance, which is likely a result of some external force, like the Grail or the Counter Force summoning her with those feelings amplified."

Jeanne took a deep breath, her expression wavering between disbelief and sadness. "It's heartbreaking to think that a version of me would carry such hatred. I spent my life trying to bring hope, not despair."

Mash stepped forward gently. "Jeanne, your counterpart, as difficult as she may be to face, doesn't erase your own legacy or the good you've done. The people here needed you today, and they rallied because of your presence."

Jeanne looked down, contemplating Mash's words. "I suppose… perhaps my role here is to remind her—and myself—of that hope." She then looked up at Ritsuka, her eyes determined. "If there is truly a darker side of myself out there, then I'll do what I can to save her, to show her that there's another path."

Ritsuka smiled, admiring her resolve. "Then we'll do this together. Jalter's power may be strong, but she's not invincible."

Jeanne nodded. "Yes, together, we'll face whatever darkness lies ahead. But first, let's make sure this town is safe and help these people rebuild."

Marie them looked at Jeane. "Will now that the real saint is here". She then grabbed her hand. "Let's talk"

As she then dragged Jeane away from some girl talk, Marie was fan of Jeane D Arc Legends, as Ritsuka just looked at what just happened

Kama just looked at him. "Not what I expected was going to happen but ok I gess".

Ritsuka chuckled, watching Marie pull Jeanne away enthusiastically. "Guess even in the middle of a Singularity, there's time for a little fan appreciation," he said, smiling.

Kama rolled her eyes, crossing her arms. "Well, it's not every day you meet a living legend. Though, I thought Marie would be a little more… composed."

Ritsuka shrugged. "Sometimes people surprise you. Besides, if it boosts morale and helps Jeanne feel more at ease here, it's probably a good thing."

Morgan, who had been observing from a short distance, smirked. "It's not surprising. Marie's optimism has a way of cutting through the bleakness. It may even be exactly what Jeanne needs to gather her strength."

Mash smiled softly. "Marie really does have a special way of brightening the atmosphere. With Jeanne's spirit, maybe she'll start believing more in herself as the Saint we all know she is."

As they watched the two converse, Jeanne's nervousness began to ease under Marie's supportive and friendly encouragement. It was clear that Marie's admiration was genuine, and the connection between the two Saints seemed to grow with each passing moment. Jeanne's earlier hesitation seemed to melt away as she engaged with Marie, laughing softly.

Kama leaned closer to Ritsuka, smirking. "Still, that doesn't mean we get to relax. Who knows what other twisted surprises are lurking here."

Ritsuka nodded, his expression turning serious. "True. The more we learn about this Singularity, the clearer it becomes that things are far from normal. Let's stay alert."

The group continued watching over the town, waiting for Marie and Jeanne to finish their talk and ready themselves for the next challenge.

Ritsuka then notice his Chaldea watched, he tapped as he saw Dr Romani. "Hi there Dr Romani"

Dr Romani looked at him. "So any update"

One update later

Dr Romani looked at him. "I see, any theory in this Jalter that we have decided to call her".

Ritsuka rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "Well, she's definitely not a normal manifestation of Jeanne. From what we've seen, she's filled with this intense rage and darkness that Jeanne herself claims she's never felt. It's like she's Jeanne, but twisted into something… vengeful."

Dr. Romani frowned, adjusting his glasses. "That fits with what we'd expect from an Alter, but Alters are usually based on some strong emotion or regret. Jeanne's history doesn't suggest she harbored any of those feelings, not even in her final moments."

Mash chimed in. "If Jeanne didn't have any resentment or hatred in her heart, then maybe this Jalter is a manifestation created by outside forces. Like someone weaponized a darker version of Jeanne."

Ritsuka nodded. "That's what I was thinking too. It's almost as if her anger was… implanted. Could be the work of a corrupted Grail or even some influence within the Singularity itself."

Romani looked thoughtful for a moment. "That makes sense. The Holy Grail can manifest desires and intentions, even if they aren't natural to the Heroic Spirit in question. If there's enough power fueling this Singularity, it could've forced this dark aspect to life."

Kama tilted her head, looking intrigued. "So, an artificial dark saint created by someone else's will? That's almost poetic, in a twisted way."

Ritsuka sighed. "Whatever she is, she's powerful—and dangerous. We'll have to find a way to handle her if we're going to restore this place."

Romani nodded on the screen, his expression serious. "Agreed. Be careful, everyone. The power behind this Singularity could be more dangerous than we realize. I'll keep researching from here to find anything that could give us an edge. Stay safe."

Kama then spoke. "How are Alter even made"

Medusa then answer. "As someone who was once an alter, it happens when a servant is Curropted by the grail Mud, the Grail Mud is like the darkness and negatives and sins of Humanity".

Ritsuka nodded as he listened to Medusa's explanation, fascinated by the idea. "So, the Grail Mud actually pulls out the worst aspects of a Heroic Spirit?"

Medusa glanced at him, her eyes serious. "Yes. It forces the Heroic Spirit to confront and embody the darker parts of themselves. Even if a Heroic Spirit doesn't have those feelings naturally, the Grail Mud drags them to the surface, twisting them into something unnatural. I was… different when I was corrupted, like a version of myself consumed by wrath."

Kama added thoughtfully, "The Grail Mud isn't just an amplifier of darkness. It's almost like a poison. It doesn't just make them angrier or vengeful; it forces them to become an entirely different aspect, based on human negativity. Alters are like a distorted mirror."

Mash seemed to shiver at the thought. "So, this Jalter we're dealing with… she's really just Jeanne twisted by the darkness of the Grail Mud. Her hatred and rage may not even be her own."

Jeanne's voice was somber as she added, "That would explain why I feel so disconnected from her. If she was made from all of humanity's resentment and despair, it's not something I could ever relate to. But still… if she's truly me, then I must take responsibility for her actions, no matter how dark."

Ritsuka put a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "We'll find a way to deal with her together, Jeanne. And maybe—just maybe—we can help her find peace, too."

The group stood in silence, contemplating the task ahead. This wasn't just a battle against a powerful enemy. It was a confrontation with the worst parts of humanity, and with the twisted reflection of a beloved saint.

As the group continued onward through the town, the lingering tension weighed on them. The battle with the wyverns had only been a taste of the challenges ahead, and the thought of facing Jalter—this twisted reflection of Jeanne—filled everyone with a sense of unease.

The streets were filled with the remnants of conflict: overturned carts, scattered belongings, and scorch marks along the walls from previous battles. They could hear distant cries, as townsfolk tried to salvage what they could in the aftermath. Ritsuka clenched his fists, feeling the weight of their mission. This Singularity was unlike any they had encountered before, and he knew they'd need every ounce of strength—and allies.

Jeanne spoke softly as they walked. "I remember the people of France… their hopes and prayers. It feels strange to see this land like this, caught in an unnatural war."

Marie placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. "We'll restore this place, Jeanne. And maybe, we'll even bring peace to… her."

Jeanne nodded, though her expression remained distant. It was clear that the idea of confronting her Alter self disturbed her deeply.

Suddenly, a figure appeared at the end of the street. Cloaked in shadows and draped in dark armor, her presence radiated a chilling aura. Jalter stood, her golden eyes gleaming with malice as she sized up the group.

"So," she sneered, "you've come to save the people of France, have you? How heroic."

Jeanne took a shaky breath and stepped forward. "Why are you doing this? These are innocent people, my people. They looked up to me, and now you're trying to destroy them. Why?"

Jalter's laughter echoed through the empty street, cold and mocking. "Innocent? Your people betrayed you, burned you alive, and watched as you died in agony. You call that innocence?"

Jeanne's face tightened, but she met Jalter's gaze steadily. "I forgave them. I never held hatred in my heart. What you're feeling isn't me. It's the Grail's corruption, feeding off human despair."

"Enough!" Jalter's anger flared, her hands igniting in dark flames. "I am who I am, and I reject your sanctimonious lies! If you really want to 'save' France, then let's see you try to save yourself first!"

With a roar, Jalter unleashed a torrent of flames toward the group. Ritsuka and Mash immediately leaped into action. "Mash, shield up!" Ritsuka shouted, as Mash raised her shield just in time to block the wave of fire.

Morgan and Kama positioned themselves, ready for battle. Morgan summoned a storm of magical energy, countering Jalter's flames, while Kama's arrows took aim at the darkened knight. Medusa darted forward, her chain in hand, seeking any opening in Jalter's defenses.

Ritsuka held back, assessing the situation. This fight wasn't just about overpowering Jalter; they needed to reach her somehow, to break through the hatred and despair the Grail had instilled in her. But he knew that talking alone wouldn't be enough—not until they'd weakened her.

As they continued their assault, Jeanne moved beside him. Her eyes were resolute. "I don't know if words will ever reach her," she said softly, "but I have to try."

"Then let's make sure you get the chance," Ritsuka replied, determination in his eyes. Together, they pushed forward, hoping to bring a sliver of light back into the heart of darkness.
