Chapter 27 Prologue: Emilia’s Quest For L

*Emilia Eckhart's Perspective*
"Argh!!!"
"Lady Emilia?"
Aria lightly tapped my shoulders
"ARIA?!!?" I shouted in surprise
"Please, calm down Emilia-sama" she said as she place a cup of iced coffee near my table.
"Sorry Aria…"
"Lein should be the one apologizing" she sat down on the table beside me and started typing on her keyboard
I sighed and took a sip of my coffee. Aria gave me the usual Vanilla Latte.
"I already found Senpai but we can't even contact him… just what is senpai doing?" After taking a sip I resumed my search for senpai.
"Maybe…" Aria suddenly stopped his typing
"Maybe?"
"Nah… It is just my imagination" she resumed typing
"Aria" I called out to her
She sighed
"It was just a passing thought milady, please don't concern yourself too much"
"Even a passing thought might help us, Aria" I approached her and held her hands
"Mi-milady!?!"
"Please…" I looked at her with my puppy eyes
She sighed again "You… you might regret this though"
"If it can help us find senpai easier then that would be better"
"But…"
"No buts! Just tell me"
She sighed again "Don't blame me for this…" she warned me the second time
"I promise I won't blame you" I reassured her with those words while holding her hands tightly
She let go of my hand and started showing senpai on the map.
"What are you doing, Aria?"
She continued typing. Later on, showing the map as a whole and a lot of pings here and there appeared. After a few seconds, the pings vanished one by one, and 5 pings were left around senpai's position.
"Lein sama is in…" The city's name appeared on the screen.
I read the city's name. A city 3 days away by horse from the City of Lemuria.
"Efcharis?" that sounds familiar… Greek? Latin?
"It came from the word Efcharístisi… in Greek" she explained slowly
"Efcharístisi...? AH!!! AHHHH!!!!!! AHHHHHHH" I shouted in surprise
All of the people around us stared at me but I ignored them… because… because…BECAUSE!!!
I grab the desktop and shouted while shaking it "WHAT ARE YOU DOING THERE SENPAAAAAAAI!!!"
"LA-LADY EMILIA!!!!!!" Aria grabbed me from behind
"SENPAI SENPAI!!!!"
"Ca-calm down, Emilia-sama"
"Wha-what happened!!?!" the other co-workers arrived
"Lein-sama again…" they ranted like it is normal
"What did he do this time?" one of the workers asked
"We-well" Aria was having a hard time explaining
"Senpai is in a brothel…" I answered in a cold tone
"Ah…" the other co-workers were just like "condolence" or "Lein-sama must relieve his stress from time to time haha"
"Aria I've calmed down now"
"Re-really?"
"Yea…"
She slowly released me. I fixed my disheveled hoodie and started walking to the highest point to make sure everybody can see me.
"Attention everyone!" I called out to them through the microphone
Everybody stared at me waiting for my announcement
"As the Commander of the logistics department, I hereby order you to use all available resources to find out how to go to Ybalish"
"WHAT!?!?!?!" everybody shouted in unison
"EMILIA-SAMA PLEASE CALM DOWN" Aria grabbed me again
"Hehe… I am calm as the raging sea"
"YOU ARE NOT CALM AND A RAGING SEA IS NOT CALM!!!" she rebutted
"Are you rebelling against your superior?"
"Yes, If it means I can calm you down, then I will be willing to do so" she answered while dragging me to my room
"EVERYBODY RESUME YOUR WORK I WOULD BE DEALING WITH EMILIA-SAMA" she ordered and started dragging me again
I was silent for a while but after arriving at our room, she released me and stood at the door.
"What was I supposed to do…" I asked

"Just what is senpai doing there?" I held my head thinking
"You might be misunderstanding something Emilia-sama"
"What? Is there anything you can do besides having an… a…s…se…sss..ss"
"Le-Lein must be gathering some information there" she explained
"THERE IS NO WAY SENPAI WILL BE ABLE TO HOLD BACK!!! SENPAI IS A WALKING BALL OF DISASTER AND HE LOVES GIRLS WHO HAVE BIG..." I shouted in response and held my chest
"You don't even trust Lein" she sighed again
"I-I trust senpai but…" I sat down on my bed
"If you trust Lein then you shouldn't be panicking like this."
"But… Senpai is… an idiot… even though I always express my love he never took it seriously like I was just a child… is it because of… MY CHEST!!! IS IT BECAUSE IT'S SMALL!!! UNLIKE ARIA WHO NOT ONLY HAS A BEAUTIFUL FACE BUT A PERFECT BODY!!!"
"Uhm… thank you?"
I glared at her "A-Anyways… Senpai isn't really attached to anyone so he can do whatever he likes but… is it because even though I am 16 years old I still have a child's body or maybe because I am an annoying idiot who always pesters senpai… hehe I might be done for"
"Emilia-sama" Aria sat down in front of me
"I don't need your consolation Aria…I…I know just how annoying I am… Even though I am gifted with this intelligence I can't even use it for what I want"
After hearing my rants, Aria just stayed there in silence and started patting my head
"Emilia-sama, can you please trust Lei-sama?" she asked
"What? You're siding with him now?"
She smiled "I just don't want you to hate Lein when there is no conclusive evidence yet"
"I can't… I will never hate Senpai… never…"
"Is that so? Then would you please trust him just this time?" Aria asked gently
Aria is the second person I trust the most after Senpai. She is the perfect assistant for me. I am confident that I can leave everything in her hands and she can manage it if not perfect it would be better.
"I… got it…"
"Great! Let's return they might be able to connect with Lein now"
"Hm" I nodded my head and stood up
