Second visit

Back then in school, one can only see him talking to his male friends, never for once had he been seen speaking with a girl and then one day, a junior student saw him in the bathroom with another male junior whom of which pants were pulled down, that was how the rumor began and not for once did he step out to deny it.

After dinner, the family settled to talk about the wedding arrangement. They wanted everything done as soon as possible. I stared at him to know if Williams objected to anything or chose to add his own opinion,but nothing came out of it, in fact he was just as comfortable sitting there as a statue, not adding a single thing.

I tried to catch his eyes a few times in order to single him out but it was all to no avail because after his mother introduced me, he has not glanced my way again, and for s brief nothing, nothing would be more sweeter than being his wedded wife.

He excused himself as soon as he got a call, and the discussion continued without him and after some few minutes, a servant walked in to announce that he was gone. Just like that? I thought, i looked at his parents but they only nodded at the maid dismissal and then continued with their conversation, they didn't even seem surprise at their son's attitude and then, again the voice in my head asked me if I was doing the right thing "mmm" I let out a big sigh, am i doing the right thing?.

"Jolly dear, can you come over to the house this noon please?"

Rose said nicely on the phone and I sighed, it's been nearly two weeks now since I left their home, my wedding date has been fixed, the wedding is to take place this coming sunday morning.

Well it's not much of an issue that Williams has not called me,not even for once did he ask to meet me.

"Sure mom" I replied and I swear I could feel her smile. Calling her mom really made her happy. Maybe it's because she never had a daughter, I think .

" I will be waiting for you dear " Rose replied and hung up the call.

I let out a big breath and stared at the documents in my hands, I will soon get married but not once have I gone wedding shopping with my husband to be, I have never been asked to select anything on my own. They have two big wedding planners taking care of everything.

Talking about getting married to a rich family, I have an estimate of five hundred guests being invited and I wonder what I will be doing with so many guests. I dropped the document and stood up from my desk, I picked up my car keys and sighed, it's been nearly two years now since I started this branch of the company and I really want to make my anty proud and nothing will lift us up to the top front like the K-Brothers contract, although the business plan is to take form in a year time but they are already looking for the right company to handle it and almost all the growing firms are after it, including the less important companies that haven't popped even after years of establishment.

Am I really going to marry him because of this contract? Of course it has to be but I know within me that it's more than that, in fact the contract is hardly remembered when talking about marrying Williams. How many years have I fantasized about him? Since that very moment I beheld him in middle school and I was just twelve, it has been like that to high school and we've only been separated because we wanted to attend different colleges.

I said goodbye to my secretary and a few others of my staff and walked outside the building, I stepped into my car and reversed from the lot before driving and my mind locked in one destination, the Brooks. I still can't believe I'm getting married into that family.

I passed the gate and drove into the country home, pulled over in front of the mansion and some servants greeted me, they already knew I'm the newest bride, the fiancee of the young master. Some had wondered why I agreed to marry a cold man, they shook their heads already knowing the answer that if given the opportunity they will also marry him wholeheartedly. For who wouldn't want to marry into such a family and not to talk of the fact that he's incredibly handsome.

I walked into the house to see Rose talking to her son and my heart missed a beat. I wasn't expecting to see him here. A little bit shaken, I walked up to them and Rose smiled when she saw me "Darling you're here" she said.

Williams looked at me and when our eyes met, his sexy eyes charmed me, deriving a shimmer from me. I immediately cleared my throat and decided to take that bold step of talking to him today whether he likes it or not.

"Come dear, I wanted both of you to do something. There's this wedding dress that arrived in one of Williams's boutiques and I need for you to try it on" Rose said while she smiled.

I looked at her, startled as I didn't see that coming. She didn't know what to say and just nodded as she turned to her son "You hurry up now, so that you can go back to your scheduled meeting"

He nodded and walked out of the house, I didn't know if I should follow him or not but I did anyway. I bid goodbye to my soon to be mother-in-law, she waved back at me. I immediately rushed outside to see him getting into his limousine so I increased my pace, I got to the car breathing heavily as I soliloquised 'when was the last time I ran? Can't even remember'.
