24 The Next Prey

Jacob - " What am I doing , here ? I should have remained in my world only or I should have stayed with Callie . Oh ! she is just beautiful . She is the perfect example of the paragon of beauty . I can't resist my heart it automatically begins to behave strangely whenever Callie's beautiful face comes before my eyes . No , Jacob don't think about her . She cannot be yours as she has slapped you when you first approached her . Maybe she was in confusion when I proposed her and she just slapped me . No , Jacob don't keep a soft corner about her in your heart. She should have simply declined or replied me gently but she didn't used her mouth she used her hands while replying. Let me fetch something eatable fast and then go back . Silas must have returned back . "

Psyche - " Your friend Silas has gone to the place he deserved to be in now it's your turn as I have choosen you as my next prey . Hahaha..."

Jacob - " I hear somebody's laugh but I can't see any living thing here . My ears must be ringing . Leave it let me concentrate on my work . "

Psyche - " This boy looks innocent is he also involved in that sin . Who am I to decide that one is innocent or guilty ? I am a servant and will always follow the commands of my master whether the commands is right or wrong . I will follow my master's command and I will torment this boy exactly the same as I treated his friend Silas. "

Jacob - " There is nothing eatable here . I didn't find a single thing which is even suitable for eating just forget about getting something which is good to eat . "

Psyche - " Here you won't find anything to eat poor boy , Jacob cause I have disappeared all the fruits and eatables. "

Jacob - " I should drink something as I need to keep my body hydrated else I will collapse here anytime . I think that there is a sound of splashing water is coming from that side . I should head in that direction . "

Psyche - " Go ahead , Jacob but you won't find a single drop of water there . "

Jacob - " Oh finally I got something to drink it's a beautiful waterfall in this horrible forest . "

Psyche - " All that glitters is not gold , Jacob . You should have kept this thing in your mind . Don't judge things with their outward appearance . Not suffer. "

Jacob - " Let me go a little bit closer to the waterfall . "

Psyche - " Now he is in my trap . "

Jacob - " Oh shit I am unable to move . I have been fooled by this waterfall . Somebody here help me please help me . Please help me . "

Psyche - " Hahaha... , no body will come to your rescue as there is no one here except me , who has trapped you here ? "

Jacob - " Please somebody please help . Looks like nobody is here in this forest I must be in some remote part of the forest . Now how will I get out of this mess ? "

Psyche - " Now let me show him the where is he standing . "

Psyche removes his magic from the place and the beautiful waterfall and it's cherishing surrounding turned out to be a scary swamp land and Jacob was on quicksand .

Jacob - " Oh for heaven sake somebody please help me . I don't want to get buried in the depths of this quicksand . "

Psyche - " The weight of your sins is pulling you down . Now rest there in peace . "

Jacob - " I will have to safe me all by myself . I just need to hold a rope or a branch . "

Psyche - " Keep trying Jacob as you will never be able to save yourself from this quicksand . All of your efforts will be go in vain , Jacob . "

Jacob - " I just need to hold that root of that fallen tree and it will surely help me alot in getting out from this deadly mud . "

Psyche - " If I were there at your place I wouldn't have chosen that root , Jacob . "

Jacob manages to reach close to the root and finally holds it . With all his might Jacob now pulls himself but suddenly the roots transforms into a giant python , which leaves Jacob in shock and he finally drops that root .

Jacob - " How can a normal root transformed into that creepy giant python ? Is somebody doing this to me or this place is magical and I am in a deadly maze . "

Psyche - " Now he gets to know the fact that this place is magical . "

Jacob - " I should keep trying else I will sink in this mud . "

Psyche - " Do whatever you can Jacob but will never be able to get away from me . "

Jacob - " Maybe this python is just an illusion cause this python is not attacking me . I should play this gamble for my life cause I am standing in a middle of a path and is surrounded by death from all the sides . "

Psyche - " He looks more determined than his friend , Silas . "

Jacob - " Oh God give me strength to hold this python . "

Jacob holds the python strongly and pulls it . The python tried to scare Jacob by making weird sounds and by even trying to engulf him but this didn't bother Jacob and he continued to pull it with all his power .

Psyche - " How can a mortal do this . Is he not afraid of the python or he is too determined to live that even a giant python cannot scare him . "

Jacob - " It's working I am coming out from this pit . Soon I will be back on the land . "

Psyche - " You must have defeated me this time , Jacob but this won't happen next time . Come back on land and then I will deal with you myself . "

Jacob - " It's almost done , I am coming to the top of the pit . "

Jacob comes out of that trap and suddenly the python was back to the normal root of the fallen tree .

Psyche - " Impressive Jacob , you won this time but it won't happen next time . "

Jacob - " Thank God , I am alive let me leave this place immediately else I will get into an another trap . "

Psyche - " You can run but you won't be able to leave this place as this place will be your doom place and you will have to die here . Hahaha..."
