Chapter 17 - Jon
Jake was thinking about how to answer Jon questions. There is the easy road which is to keep lying and the other road which tell the truth.
"Jon you don't seem pleased with the council. Who are the council people anyway?"
Jake wants to have as much information as possible to form his next plan.
Jon kept looking at Jake, the way he thinks is not the same as the people his age, if it's the magic land, it will be accepted because they choose their future in this age which means they are big to decide for themselves, but here they are just kids.
"The Council is the place which gives orders to all the magic lands. The magic land divided between four people. You need to understand first how the magic land work. The magic land is a garment land, the people who cook ingredients and the people who provide the ingredients. There is one more group of people and they are the keepers. The keepers are the people who keep the balance in the land, they have powers inside of them, no one knows their secret. The four people who control the council are the big four families who exceed in cooking and in providing the ingredients. The keepers don't have a family they have their own sects. There are a lot of families, but the main four families have the last say. The keepers interfere when someone wants to break the balance. My family are on the council, but we are not strong enough to break the four giants."
Oh, so that's it a gourmet Land and there are the family's not kingdoms. The council is a bunch of people who use their power under the name of law, but they don't need to break any rules because they are the rules. They control everything and make it hard for a new family to emerge.
"Then what your family specialise in, cooking or ingredients provider," Jake asked
"No, we specialise in cooking but because the big four control the ingredients and they have cooking schools and a lot of techniques, it makes it hard for anther families to emerge and steal their thunder and if a family do show potential, they will be strike with a bad faith" Jon answered wondering what Jake have in mind
"Then you have tasted and drank all the dishes there. How about this, I have some tea, I know they are not magic tea, but you can try them and tell me what you think about it"
Jake told Jon his proposal. Jake wants to control that council now, but he needs an army of loyal men. His relationship with Jon is good enough for him to build a trust.
Jon followed Jake back to the restaurant, he might have some clues of what Jake wants, but if it was true then will need to change a lot of things.
Jake gave Donna the tea leaves and some jasmine herb this time. Donna looked confused, but she did it anyway.
The smell of the tea with jasmine herbs spread all over the restaurant. Everyone inside the shop was wondering, what is this heavenly smell. Jon eyes were looking at Jake, but he didn't ask anything. Donna brought the teapot with three cups, she wanted to try it too.
Jon and Donna faces change once they drank the tea. Donna face change she was blushing, her face looks happy and her mood becomes calm. Jon, on the other hand, was calm and he was smiling at Jake. This supposes to be a normal tea from the mortal land how came it taste like the magic tea from the magic land.
"Then can you become the head of the family with my help," asked Jake looking at Jon, he knew that Jon knew what he wants but he needs to confirm it.
"Sigh….. Jake what on Earth are you made from, can you be just a normal person who lives a normal life, what's your plan what do you want to get in the end"
Jon says that with a big sigh. Jake keeps surprising him time after time he came from his farm that couldn't grow shit to my shop to sell potatoes, from selling potatoes to owning half of my shop, then out of nowhere he took out an IceBlue flower and planted it in his farm, and today for the first time hearing about the magic land and the council, he wishes to be one of the big four. I just knew him for a couple of days, what a feisty and crazy brat, but I like him.
Jon was not a good cooker in the magic land, he came from the Ramdwin Family, his family considers a middle family in power. They specialized in cooking techniques for vegetable dishes. He was bad at cooking, but a strong person. He became a knight in the family, and from there he kept promoted until the heads of the family noticed him.
They disliked his popularity and how he created his own fiction inside the family. They send him to the Dark water kingdom to get rid of him and control his fiction, he hated their control but he was a weak person comparing to them so he didn't have any other option.
When he arrived, he opens The Bigs Eats restaurant to keep an eye on the streets, but he falls in love with Donna, he kept dating her until they got married. He was very happy and forgot everything that happens back in the family. He was blessed by a beautiful baby angel from Donna and named her Suzan.
Everything was good, and his life was full of happiness. One day his sensor rang. He went to check what happens. An outlaw person appears in his area trying a new experiment and something wrong happen that made the farms in the kingdom ruined. The council was useless, his families didn't care.
He was trying to find a solution to this issue, he asked the council for help but the send him some useless people, in the end, their progress was slow and small. Until one day Jake came to sell potatoes.
Jake came and change Jon life. His wife was happy, the people are eating good food and he was waiting for the right moment to ask him for a help to fix the farms in the kingdom. Destiny came and gave Jon the answer, the rare IceBlue flower that the Albi Clan monopolize came to Jake hand. Now Jake gives me the best tea that I drank all my life.
"I really don't want anything, I just want to have my own chain of restaurants and hotels. I want to have people complimenting the restaurant chief dishes and want whoever enter any of my chains either restaurant or a hotel when they leave they feel happy and want to come back again"
Jake told Jon his half dream. The other one is to get a lot more money and control everything the market that what's his empire stand for.
"You really are something such a big dream while wearing former clothing, let's go to the private room and continue our talk."
Jon doesn't want anyone to hear their conversation. Jake and Jon went to the second-floor private room.
