Quickening!

It was 11:00 PM in the night, and George and Cynthia were lying down next to each other on their bed. She was catching up on some reading about parenting while George was preparing for an important meeting he had the next day.

She was about to close her book and call it a night when she felt the distinguished flickering movements in her womb. She took a couple of moments to really enjoy the sensation that was all too familiar for the second time mother.

"George!" She exclaimed happily.

Adrenaline surged through George's system and there were a few frightening seconds until he saw the smile on his wife's face, with a pounding heart, he closed his laptop and took his glasses off placing them by the bedstand.

He put a brave smile on his face, "What is it, sweetheart?"

She beamed and pointed with her index finger at her womb many times, "The baby is moving!"
