A Royal Request

Cynthia was doubtful about wanting to hear more, she thought that what she heard was enough already… She took a deep breath and held it in, preparing herself for the worst.

"Don't marry him…" Dimitri said.

It was indeed, the worst.

Seeing the strange look on her face, Dimitri decided to rephrase.

"You can't marry him," he said, his tone dead serious.

Cynthia registered the difference between the first request he made and the second one. The first one was simply a plea, it could be dismissed as one that came from a man with a case of unrequited love, but the second one came with necessity, there was a solid reason behind it.

Cynthia didn't like it one bit. Regardless of the fact that she rarely heard words like 'don't' and 'you can't' in her life and had very little tolerance when it came to them… This was George that Dimitri was talking about.

George was a redline.

George was in more than one way, her lifeline.
