A/n: Someone pointed out that All for one is only supposed to have the ability to steal other people's powers. I just want to make it clear that the main character has a modified All for One. It has not only been modified to suit the world of Marvel, but also made it much, much more versatile. This includes but is not limited to copying powers. More will be unlocked by the Mc in the future.

I had spent hours in Kamar Taj studying the lore of the Marvel universe, that's why I knew the history of Mutants, Inhumans and Eternals. Their powers were genetic cheats which allowed them to use magic without having studied it at all.
Einstein once said "Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid." Now Mutants, Eternals and Inhumans were these metaphorical fishes and monkeys, each talented in climbing trees or swimming(For those who didn't get it, by swimming and climbing I actually mean their powers like telekinesis, magnetokinesis, etc.).
Now, although humans can do both they need to learn and train themselves before they are able to climb trees or swim.(Again, swimming and climbing are metaphors for superpowers.)
Similarly, a sorcerer learns to perform such superhuman feats by training themselves in the way of the mystic arts. Unfortunately, even there talent plays a vital role. I myself had to study for around 10 years to reach the skill level Doctor Strange had in a few months. Also, there were many mutants with powers sorcerers hadn't even thought of and had no way of replicating.
Ones truly gifted in the mystic arts, like Agamotto, Doctor Strange and The Ancient One could even give Omega-level mutants a run for their money.
This is where All for One came to play. Mutant powers coupled with my understanding of the mystic arts, I was going to get much, much stronger.
There I was standing outside the future X-mansion after copying a nine-year-old Charles' abilities. Since I was immune to Telepathy I was able to portal into his room after making sure he was alone and deep asleep.
I could feel that my body, specifically my brain, had changed. My Telepathic abilities had been boosted to an unbelievable extent. Thoughts of the people in the mansion and a few meters away flooded my mind. I was able to reign in my telepathy fairly quickly, although it was only because I was already used to telepathy and was familiar with it's mechanics.
I was about to leave to find me another mutant but I stopped and decided to hang back for a while. I entered the mirror dimension and made my way to Charles' bedroom once again.
Charles was deep asleep, seeing that it was mid night. Suddenly he started twitching and thrashing. I made my way to his parent's bedroom while still in the mirror dimension. I found them to be to be sleeping peacefully. Though I noticed them twitch once. I quickly portaled to Charles' bedroom and entered the mirror dimension again along with him.
I closed my eyes and entered his dream. In his dreams he was all alone panicking in a vast white expanse. Loud voices reverberated all around him as he remained crouched with his hands pressing over his ears.
[Charles!] I called out to him. [Wake up! You are dreaming!]
He didn't react to my calls at all so I tried to wake him up forcefully with a light telepathic shockwave.
With a gasp, we both woke up. Charles noticed me and quietened down. "Um, Sir? Who are you?" He looked around and his eyes widened with surprise, "There are no noises in my head!"
"Me?" I smirked. "I am a sorcerer," I declared as I warped our surroundings. The young Charles looked on in amazement.
"A-are you like me?" he asked excitedly.
I gave it some thought, 'I mean I technically should have the X-gene now...' "Yes, I am like you Charles," I agreed with a smile. "Also as I mentioned before I am also a sorcerer, and I am here to help you."
"Where are we? Why can't I hear anyone's thoughts?" He questioned as he looked around.
I warped the wall of Charles' room away revealing a prismic landscape. "We are in the Mirror dimension," I answered the little boy.
"Why did you bring me here?"
"I have brought you here to train you, kid," I replied. I wanted to train him to make him owe me a favor, and to make sure he wouldn't doom us all later by messing with the phoenix force.
<A month later>
I spent the month abducting Charles into the mirror dimension every night he slept. I made him promise to keep my existence a secret and also lied that I could only meet him in the mirror dimension since I was stuck there.
I used my knowledge of telepathy to train him in controlling his powers. I made sure to teach him the proper etiquette of telepaths and that reading someone's mind without their permission was a breach of trust and other basic stuff he would have eventually found out on his own. I also trained myself and explored my new limits.
It was around this time I noticed something, I apparently had copied Charles' photographic memory along with his telepathic abilities. I could remember movies, comics and games I had played perfectly.
After bidding farewell to the future professor baldy, I waited for him to fall asleep before using telekinesis to carry him over through the portal and place him on his real bed in the real world. That was another condition he had to fulfill. I lied that he could only enter and exit the mirror dimension by falling asleep.
I portaled to a motel room and used a handy cleaning spell on the bed. I sat down and thought about my options and choices. The only mutants I could possibly copy more powers from in 1941 were Wolverine, Magneto and Sebastian Shaw. Well, they were the only ones I knew about.
Apocalypse was also an option, but I wasn't going to go anywhere near an omega level mutant unless I had Wolverine's regenerative powers and a couple of other mutant powers, or unless they were a child. I preferred Deadpool's regenerative ability but he hadn't been born yet.
I stood up and stretched, "I guess it's time to meet the Wolverine...."

After a series of mind reading and searching, I finally found Wolverine's location. I was sure he would be a part of the 29th Infantry Division and I was right. Sticking to the plot in the movies, James Howlett was a part of the newly formed 29th Infantry division.
After searching through the soldiers in their headquarters while wearing clothes with concealment enchantments, I found a short yet buff man lifting weights in the corner. I approached him, thankfully the concealment spell also concealed my scent. As soon as I copied his powers, he fell to the ground, startling me.
'What the hell?!' I questioned. The surrounding soldiers noticed James collapse all of a sudden and rushed to his side. After a quick check from my end concluded that James was just unconscious, I left the place in relief.
I entered the mirror dimension and my body started to go through some changes. I grew more muscular, my bones became denser and claws sprouted from the gaps between my knuckles. I gasped for breath after the transformation was complete.
I now stood 180 cm tall. I looked at my claws and muttered, "...Cool." I tried to retract them a few times before they finally retracted. I tried to only let the middle claw sprout which was hard but through a few frustrating tries I managed to do it. Now I could flip anyone off with a threatening claw.
The claws were obviously made of bones since I didn't have any adamantium on me. they were still quite sharp as I drew a cut across my palm which healed almost instantly.
I checked my grimoire which disappeared and reappeared according to my will. While I was teaching Charles I had noticed that the first page now had a list of my powers, except for my abilities in the mystic arts.
Currently it listed all the abilities I had gained from Wolverine and professor X.
"Two down, two more to go..." I said to myself as I stared at the kaleidoscopic scenery of the mirror dimension.

I was compiling a list of all the mutants who had ever graced the big screen when I remembered, "Shit, I forgot about the Mainline MCU!" There was a particular person whose ability I wouldn't mind copying. "I wonder what would happen to my mutant abilities when I copy the super soldier serum's effects...." I spoke to myself.
Have some idea about my story? Comment it and let me know.
Creation is hard, comment something nice to cheer me up!
