"I HAVE TO GO TO SCHOOL!!" Alek continued. University must have started when Kriryuu took over. She was going to be in sophomore and, she needed to be there. It will be harder to catch up with the studies as much as she didn't go.
"School?" Castor asked back. He didn't expect her to say that.
"Yeah. I'm need to go!"
"There is no need for that." Robin answered from the door. The door was fully open and, he was leaning on it. "May I come in?"
"Yeah. And what do you mean I don't need to go to school, dad?" Alek asked as he strode forward to the three.
"What I'm trying to say is that I think it would be hard for you to go to a human school and learn how to control your beast at the same time. Honey, I know you are smart, but it can exhaust you. Take it from someone that went through it. Also, you are becoming the head, meaning you have to show your strength to anyone who underestimates you." He took a seat on the opposite side of the twins.
"Then what do I do? Should I quit uni? Dad, you know that I want to be a mythologist. I can't quit now. Otherwise, I wouldn't be able to get a degree." Alek looked down at her injured arms and wrists. They were still bandaged. The tray had been placed on the side table so that she wouldn't accidentally spill it.
"I think I know the best place to become a mythologist." Robin told his daughter with a suggestive tone.
"Where? That school was the best to learn mythology from. Plus, I was going to be an assistant for professor Oxley..." Professor Oxley was famous among the community of mythologists, and he promised to take her as an assistant once she was in sophomore. Alek had been bothering him since she got into university and, she never gave up her hope. She went to his office every day and begged him until he finally gave in. It was a long time and, she didn't want to give up the chance.
"Is the professor's name Felipe Oxley?" Robin asked. It wasn't common to have a name, 'Oxley'.
"Yes. Why do you ask?" Alek told her father.
"Then you have no problem. Felipe is a warlock who is also well known in this world. He is your grandma's classmate. I think he would be able to help you with your studies. Or you can join the school I teach in." He smiled.
"Wait, he is a warlock. No wonder some people say that he kind of gives magical vibes... And did you say he was grandma's classmate? He doesn't look that old."
"He is also way older than your grandma, Mikoto. He is around eight hundred."
"Also, warlocks can alter their looks by their magic." Rin added to his uncle.
"They can stay young but they are stinking old on the inside?" Alek asked one of the where-did-you-come-from question.
"No, they have a longer life span like that of fairies and vampires. But vampires and fairies can't alter their image like warlocks and witches." Robin answered. He was amused by his daughter. She must have taken this from him or his mother. His mother, Vibia, was full of curiosity and would ask anything she didn't understand. And some of those questions were very...unique.
"What about us? How long can we live?" Alek asked. If vampires and fairies can have long lives, why can't the shapeshifters?
"Sadly, for us, it's about two hundred years." Robin replied and saw Alek widening her eyes.
"Why sadly? That is still long." Alek told her father when she found him frowning.
"Not in this world. Ours is one of the shortest but that means we don't have to suffer for long." He answered with a hint of sadness, unlike before when he jokingly said sadly. Alek shot him a confused look and, her cousin answered for her.
"Many cause of death in the fairies and vampires and age. And that is about a thousand years. It is hard to live a long life without their loved ones by their side. But for us, our lives are short, so we will overcome the death of mates or significant others." Jin explained.
"Oh..." She didn't know the bad side of having a long life. "Well, you said earlier that professor Oxley can help me. How?" Alek asked when she felt the atmosphere freezing.
"He can teach you just about anything in the supernatural world. I think he would be a better teacher than humans who don't know the existence of us and this world." He told his daughter and, she nodded with unsatisfaction. "What's wrong, honey?"
"Nothing..." Alek gave him a smile.
"I can see that's not nothing. Now tell me." Robin leaned forward. Alek hesitated. Would she be greedy to tell him that she wanted to go to school with her best friend? He was one of the people with who she was comfortable. To be honest, she didn't want to join a new school. She didn't want to get separated from Alex.
"I think she doesn't want to leave uni." Pollux knew how his cousin felt. He also remembered Alec telling him that they went to the same school and they had been friends for a long time.
"Is that so?" Robin asked after hearing his nephew. He didn't think about that.
"Yeah... I can't tell him, right?" Alek asked. She had a little hope that she knew it wouldn't come true.
"No." Robin told his daughter. That was something he couldn't change. Bringing humans on this side of the world would be putting them in danger. They wouldn't be able to protect themselves from the dangers of magic.
"I know that." She answered.
"Well, think about it thoroughly. Tell me the answer when you've decided." Robin told his daughter and left the room.
"Ah..." Jin tried to call his uncle but, too late. He didn't get to ask how long he had been eavesdropping on their conversation.
"Well, we got another reason to visit grandma." Pollux spoke and, his twin frowned. "We already need to visit her for the fairies thing and the family heirloom. And now, Alek needs to decide."
-------
The lovers of Minazuki in their room after Robin talked with Alek...
"How was Alek?" Panacea asked as soon as her husband entered. She knew he went to visit her to talk to her.
"She is doing great."
"Really? Also, did you talk to her about university?" She came to his side after she was done with her work. She brought her laptop with her so that she could finish the job she had been offered a few days before.
"Actually, they were talking about t when I came into the room." Robin sat down on the bed.
"Who are 'they'?" She asked sitting, next to him.
"Jin and Rin."
"Oh. They were there?" She didn't know her daughter and, they were getting closer.
"Yeah."
"What did you say?" Panacea started massaging the hard muscles on his shoulder.
"I told her that she doesn't need to continue uni. Since she is a mythology major, and the professor who teaches her is Felipe, I think she can learn from him. He is a great teacher and, I think she can learn from him more than human teachers." When Robin had closed his eyes in comfort and finished talking, he felt a pain in his shoulders. "Ow, my love!" She had pinched his shoulders.
"Are you dumb?" His wife stopped
massaging him and standing in front of him.
"What do you mean?" He didn't understand why his wife acted like that.
"No, no. That's a rhetorical question. You are dumb, Robin. How can you say that to her?" She was beyond mad at him. She was amazed by his slowness.
"What? I think I gave her a good advise." He was caressing his own shoulders from the pain his wife inflicted.
"No, you didn't. Alek had been going to the same school with Alec for a long time. You are putting pressure on her! You are basically asking her to abandon her best friend. You know she doesn't have many friends. It's going to cause her pain." Panacea told her husband and, he finally seemed to get it. "Do you get it?"
"I think so..."
"You need to think to get it?!" His wife became an active volcano, waiting to spit out lava and cause disaster.
"No! I didn't think. I get it. I get it." He didn't want it to explode. She was very scary when she was like that.
"Good. Now go and apologise to her." Panacea's eyes were large and, her face was flushed red. She pointed at the door he came in moments ago.
"Okay." He stood up, not wanting to add oil to the fire. But he wanted to kiss her on the forehead before he left. When he approached her, she growled and told him 'out!', like a dog. "Okay, okay."
"Do not come back until you apologise." She told him before he closed the door behind him.
'How would she know if I apologised or not? Alek can't mind link.' Robin thought when he closed the door.
"I will ask the twins if you've apologised or not." Panacea answered the question he had in his mind. How did she know what he was thinking? His mind was blocked and, she couldn't get into his head. Very scary. Very scary wife. Sometimes, he wondered how he could think he loved the way she was straightforward and scolded him when they started dating.
'Beautiful memories.' Robin sighed. If he could go back in time, he would tell his old self it's not sexy when she is angry.
