Chapter 48 : Ready for Forever?
Blair’s POV
It is a weird sensation to be taken care of by all of my coworkers. Admittedly, it gives me a good idea of things that I need to make sure that I am doing while I am on the clock, but I also get to see firsthand how they are performing.
Getting shot was, admittedly, an experience. It is almost like riding a roller coaster when you are terrified of riding roller coasters. There is absolute panic, terror, a weird combination of emotions way too complicated to put into words, and then it is over and you are left sore in bed thinking that it confirmed everything you thought.
Getting shot was the same way. I felt the intense heat and pain as the bullet hit me. I was filled with adrenaline at the time, so it did not hurt as much as I thought, but immediately after when I was losing blood made me realize how much I wanted to live.
