The Call

Freya walked out of Techy's electronics store with a new phone in her hand that was untraceable as she was told by Gwen and confirmed by the guy working in the store. She had bought the phone including the sim card that comes with it to make only one call.

A call to the police station to tip them on what she saw in Dr. David's basement while staying anonymous. She kept thinking about the people that he had locked in his basement, inside cages, torturing them and she felt so bad for them and any future victims of his.

Freya wanted to help them even though they haven't gotten enough proof to go against Dr. David and Clara in court to free them, so she thought of calling the police anonymously. She opened her car's door and got in with the phone and her purse in one hand. She dialed the town's police station's phone number and waited for them to pick up.

"Hello, you are calling Community town's police station, how can we help?" A female voice answered the phone.

"Hi, I want to make a report. There's a man on Duke's street No.1, Hamilton area that's holding some people against their will; he keeps them in cages and operates on them in his basement. Can you start an investigation to rescue them?" Freya said in a rush hoping that they would just take her word for it and start investigating.

The secretary's voice turned snarky after hearing Freya's report. "How do you know this and how can we trust what you are saying?"

"I witnessed it, but they threatened me to stop me from telling anyone."

"Right. You said 'he', and now, it's 'they'." The voice sounded sarcastic.

"Yes, Dr. Sam David and Clara Wilde."

"Did you say Dr. David and Clara Wilde?" The woman's voice became tense and fearful.

"Yes." She answered carefully, noticing the woman's change of tone.

"Right, thank you for your report. I'll let the officers know and we'll do what we can." The secretary said in a forced cheerful voice.

"Thank-" The line went dead cutting Freya off.

She felt confused at how the secretary reacted, it seemed that she was angry at her then she became scared after hearing Dr. David and Clara's names. Did she know them? Would she really submit Freya's report? Freya pondered as she shut down the new phone still in her hand.

She opened her glove box and slid the phone in then closed it. Whether the secretary relayed her report or not, she knew that she had tried to help the victims and she will keep trying until she had enough proof to go to court to fight for them.

"It's nice to finally meet you." Luke said to Salma after Freya introduced them to each other. He was standing beside Freya holding her hand as they faced Salma at the Community For All party.

"Nice meeting you too, I've heard so much about you." He looked to Freya bemused.

"Great things I hope?" He asked with a smile as she lightly squeezed his hand.

"Yes, absolutely great things, you guys are a perfect match." Salma said as she glanced between Luke and Freya smiling.

"Thanks, it means a lot coming from Freya's best friend." Freya shook her head smiling too, glad that Salma supports their relationship.

"Come on, let's go to the pool side so that you can meet the others, you'll love them." Freya said and they started walking towards a door that led to the back of the house.

"There's a pool? Does Clara let you use it?"

"No, she only lets us sit by it. She strictly forbids anyone from getting in the pool." Luke answered as they reached their group.

The group greeted them and Luke introduced Salma as Freya's best friend.

"It's good to have you here!" Lin exclaimed as Chen nodded.

"Welcome to Community town." Gwen said while the rest offered Salma a smile except for Percy and Finn. Freya saw that James wasn't present as she, Luke and Salma sat on lounge chairs close to Lin and Chen who were cuddling on one chair.

"Where's James?"

"He couldn't come because of what happened with Cathy." Lin answered Freya. She felt that it was better for him to avoid these parties for a short while so that he can adjust to what happened especially since Percy never misses a party.

"That crazy whore got what she deserved!" Percy spat fiercely.

"I don't think she did it."

"What are you talking about? You gave the proof of her crime." Nina asked curiously while everyone listened attentively for the answer.

"Yes, but it all seems too easy. The jealous side chick kills the husband?"

"What are you trying to say, Freya? That my mom actually killed my dad then framed it on his crazy whore?"

"You said that, not me."

"Why don't we stop talking about this case now, we're here to relax and let loose, and not to start a fight." Chen said the last part looking at Percy pointedly.

"Yeah, we should talk about something else." Lin paused snuggling closer to Chen before she continued, "Luke, I heard that you took Freya to a hunted house on your date. I think we should all go to a hunted theme park or something like that, what do you guys think?"

"It'll be fun, we even battled the most real looking zombies and there's this scary ride!"

"Yeah, you looked so hot wielding that hammer against those zombies." Freya said staring at Luke intensely, and he turned to her, his brown eyes heating up as he stared deeply into her eyes. She noticed how good he looked wearing a short sleeved light blue shirt and dark jeans. His muscular arms were bulging against the shirt while the jeans hugged his muscular thighs nicely, and his face looked gorgeous as always.

"You looked even hotter swinging that bat." He breathed out as he raised his hand and pushed a few strands of hair behind her ear.

"Whoa, we're right here!" Gwen exclaimed making Luke, Freya, Lin and Chen laugh.

"Can you keep the gushing to a minimum?!" Rose asked just as Nina said, "Even Lin and Chen do it behind closed doors."

"Whoa Nina! You are making it sound like we're doing something more. We're just talking and it's entirely PG." Luke said as Freya laughed blushing. Percy and Finn stayed silent, both looking annoyed while Salma watched them all interact with a smile.

"Yeah, and I'm sure we do more than PG around you guys!" Chen said just before Lin said, "Come on guys, leave them be in love!"

"We're just joking of course." Gwen said grinning then answered Lin's previous question, "and I'm up for going to a hunted theme park!"

"Me too." Rose, Nina, Salma and Finn echoed while Chen said, "We'll have so much fun!"
