Surprise From The Jealous CEO

After Freya had presented Cathy's case and gave evidence that Nora Thorn is guilty of the murder of her husband and not Cathy, and presented three witnesses, the judge has declared Nora guilty and Cathy to be released from prison.

Apparently, Nora paid off the principal, the other witness and her daughter, Daisy to lie about her being at the school. They found out when the principal came to tell them with a recording of Nora negotiating with the three of them at the principal's office.

Freya watched as a handcuffed Nora Thorn was pushed into the police car by a police officer. She had just come out of the court when she noticed the scene before her. As she watched on, James and Gwen came out of the car and approached her.

"Freya, thank you for helping Cathy become free. You are a good person."

"Thank you, but I put her in prison in the first place, and I'm sorry about that."

Percy came out of the court at that time and walked up to them glaring at Freya. "I can't believe you! How can you say my mom killed my dad? Does that make sense? I know Cathy killed him, and I will prove it!"

She wasn't surprised at Percy's outburst, Percy has always been a drama queen and she wished could sympathize with Percy, but she couldn't because of what Percy had done to her.

"Didn't you see the evidence? Your mom did all that, and your dad was the one that dragged Cathy into your family's mess."

"You're not qualified to act as a lawyer!"

"Go away, Percy. Didn't Luke tell you not to approach her again." Gwen told off Percy and Percy turned her glare to her with disbelief on her face. She stomped away in anger to her car and got in.

"We have to go now. We'll talk tomorrow." Gwen said to Freya.

"Alright, see you." James waved goodbye as he and Gwen walked to his car.

She nodded and started her way towards her car when detective Seth Owen called her name. She turned around and saw him making his way towards her.

"Freya, you did great. I didn't know you were such a good lawyer." He said smiling at her looking proud.

"Yeah, thanks, I try my best." She smiled back.

"Do you want to go get a bite to celebrate the win?" She felt that it wouldn't just be a bite to him, but something more. She thought about what Salma said that he may have a thing for her, but she thought it couldn't be that. But then if she went with him, she could tell him about Dr. David and Clara and get his help.

"Yeah, I actually need to talk to you about something important."

He seemed glad that she agreed and grinned, "Great, I'll meet you at Betty's."

She nodded and watched as he turned around and walked to his car. She opened her car, climbed into it and started the car.

After fifteen minutes, Freya parked at Betty's diner just as Seth parked too. Freya climbed out of the car and met up with Seth, and they both walked into the diner to sit at a table for two.

"What did you want to talk to me about?" He asked as he placed one arm on the table.

"You know Clara Wilde, right? The chairwoman of Community town?" He nodded as she continued, "What about Dr. Sam David, the retired doctor that has a sick daughter?"

"Yes, I know him too. He has always been in close contact with Clara."

She told him how she found people caged in his basement, and how he was operating on them, how he and Clara threatened her, how he broke into her room and tried to rape her, and how he and Clara keep threatening and harassing her.

"They have people in the police force working with them and even in the government. That's how they knew I reported them to the police."

He let out a sigh, "I am sorry you went through all that, I will try my best to help you."

"Thank you, I want you to find out who are working with them in the police force. Try to find out what they know about them and also get them to stop working for them."

"I will do all that, and also make them realize what they're doing is wrong."

"I also want you to keep everything between us."

"So we have a police officer on our side now too who has power in the police force." Freya said telling Luke about her meeting with Seth that afternoon.

They were having dinner at one of the fanciest restaurants in town, La Bon. Luke had asked Freya out on another date that night, and he seemed excited for some reason. They were having dessert of chicken and lemon tarts, each of them had a slice of it on their plates.

He nodded his head, "That's good. Gwen also told me that Seth came to see you at your office last week."

"Yes, he was only there to let me know about Mathew's involvement in the case, he has been a great help to the whole case."

A waiter rolled up a cart that was holding a bouquet of red roses and a large chocolate cake with buttercream icing on top of it that had the words, 'Will you marry me?' on the stick sticking from the middle. He stopped at their table and placed the red roses in Freya's arms.

Luke brought out a small case from his pocket and held it to her over the table, he opened it to reveal a diamond ring. "Freya, will you marry me?"

She felt so happy and surprised, she didn't expect him to propose so soon even though he said that he planned on marrying her. Her lips broke into a smile.

"Oh my God, Yes." She leaned over and hugged him as he grinned at her. She removed her arms from around him and he took her hand sliding the ring on her ring finger.

"It's so beautiful! I love it."

"And I love you, Freya." He said as his brown eyes stared into her eyes, she could see his happiness apparent in them and she was sure her eyes reflected his.

"I love you too, Luke." His hand was still holding her hand and he brought her hand to his lips, pressing a kiss on the inside of her wrist as he stared deeply into her eyes. She felt her stomach fill with butterflies as she stared back into his eyes.

Her phone started ringing breaking the moment between them, she used her other hand and brought out her phone from her hand bag.

"Hello?"

"Hey, it's Seth."

"Seth?" She asked with both eyebrows raised as Luke's gaze turned annoyed.

"Yeah, I got your number from your office. I wanted you to have mine in case there's any information we need to share and-" Luke grabbed her phone from her hand and put it to his ear as she watched him confused.

"Hello Seth. Freya is busy with her fiance right now who is me, you can talk to her when she's not with me." Luke spoke into the phone to her surprise then cut the call and handed it back to her. She tucked it back into her hand bag.

"Oh, Luke, that was rude. You acted like the jealous boyfriend or fiance in this case."

"And if I was? I have every right to be jealous and I want you to be wary of Seth, we don't know him that well." He said still looking annoyed while she was baffled, yet pleased to see this new side him.

"Alright. You look hot when you're jealous." She said looking straight at him. He looked surprised at her boldness at first then his eyes darkened filling with heat.

"You look hot when you are trying to make me jealous." He replied smiling teasingly at her.

"I wasn't trying to, I didn't know he was going to call..." She trailed off as he laughed intertwining their fingers across the table.

"I know baby, I was teasing you."

His phone started ringing this time, he brought it out from his pocket and picked it up. "Hi Gwen."

He paused as Gwen replied him through the phone, "Yes, here she is." He chuckled and handed Freya the phone.

"Hey Gwen."

"How was the proposal? I helped him choose the type of cake, I hope you like it! How are you feeling now that you're about to become Mrs. Walters?" Gwen rushed out in excitement.

Freya laughed, "It feels overwhelming and wonderful all at the same time."

"That's great, I also told him to add the bouquet of flowers since you liked it so much the last time he gifted it to you, and James is wishing you a happy engagement."

"Thank you, and how is James with you? You two seem to be almost inseparable these days."

"Yes, well, he asked me out today and we're currently on a date."

"Wow, I'm so happy for you!"

Luke grabbed his phone from her, putting it to his ear, "I need my fiancee back, Gwen. Go back to your date."

He cut the call as Freya laughed, "I love it when you call me your fiancee."
