Chapter 63: I like you Alyssa

Then something came in his mind and he changed the direction.

Alyssa was in her office discussing some work with her assistant manager Ronny.

" I really like this. " She said to Ronny with a smile.

" I knew you would like it. It was the little girl's idea. " Ronny said.

" Tell them to come and see me so that we may discuss further about it. " Alyssa had just said when someone thumped into her office.

Both looked up at the person who dared to enter without a knock and to there shock it was Calcel.

" Sir , What...? " She tried to ask politely but Calcel cut her midway.

" We need to talk right now. " Calcel said hoarsely.

" Ronny , Please excuse us. " Alyssa requested Ronny who had just got up to leave when Calcel interrupted .

" No ! I am going with you. " He said and before Alyssa could react he walked to her and grabbed her by the hand dragging her away from the place.

Ronny who watched this frowned. How could Calcel drag away his step mother like that. Didn't he give her some respect at all.

The two were now walking along the corridor Calcel still holding Alyssa's hands tightly. The few people whom they met and saw this were also amused. Alyssa noticed their gazes and quickly pulled away.

Calcel turned to look at her in anger.

" People are watching us. They might misunderstand. " She whispered.

Calcel looked around at them and brought back his normal expression. He bowed before them and turned to proceed. Alyssa followed. He walked to the elevator and it took them up to the highest floor.

Calcel walked to the roof top where they could see the clear view of the city. When he was there he turned around to look at Alyssa who was following behind. She stood a distance away from him.

" What is it that you want to talk about ? " Alyssa asked.

" My father wants me to get engaged with May. " Calcel said .

When Alyssa heard this she swallowed hard. " Getting engaged to May ? " She simply asked making herself calm down but this put her high.

" Yes. " Calcel said nodding.

" Huh...." Alyssa sighed. Her eyes turning red slowly. " That's good . Congratulations." She forced herself to say that with a fake smile.

Calcel turned around that his back was facing her while he looked at the tall buildings of the city.

" Do you want that to happen ? " Calcel asked still not looking at her.

" Of course ... Any... friend would be happy to hear this. " She said in a stutter.

Calcel turned around to look at her again and walked steps closer to her.

" Do you really want it to happen ? " He asked again.

" Of course . " She said smiling again but she was dying inside.

Calcel smirked looking deep into her eyes. He didn't say anything more .

" If that's all you wanted to say then I will leave." Alyssa said turned to leave when Calcel stopped her by his words.

" Don't you want to know how I feel about it ? " That was the question that came from Calcel's mouth.

Alyssa turned to look at him in daze.

" Aren't you happy for it ? " She asked him.

" I am not happy. " He blurted.

" Why ? " Alyssa blubbered.

" Because I don't like May. " Calcel was free with Alyssa this time. And he was sincire.

" Why wouldn't you like May. She's beautiful and a good family friend. And she cares about you so much. " Alyssa spoke out.

" So what if I like someone else ? " Calcel asked.

" ...am...that..." Alyssa stammered and looked away from Calcel. " If that's then go and tell all that to the person you like. " She said.

" How will I yet she doesn't even know that I like her ? " Calcel asked.

" Then go tell her that you like her. " Alyssa said out of innocence.

" Really ? " Calcel asked to confirm.

" Of course. " Alyssa forged a smile this time looking at him. "

" What if she rejects me ? " Calcel asked.

" No one can reject a man like you. " She said.

Hearing this , Calcel walked closer to Alyssa who started flinching backwards.

" w...wh...what is it now ? " She asked seeing him move closer and she continued moving backwards.

She was stopped by the wall and Calcel moved really closer such that they were just an inch distance between them. Alyssa's heart started racing and she swallowed her saliva hard as she stared up at him.

Calcel have her a seducive look and there eyes were locked for seconds when he finally said.

" I like you ! "

" I like you ..I like you.." Alyssa heard the words echo in her mind. She couldn't believe that Calcel just said this.

" You...you...ar...are .. joking right ? " Alyssa wanted to make sure this man wasn't playing with her mind and she laughed.

" Do I look like someone joking ? " Calcel asked.

The happiness in Alyssa was too much that she released tears. She didn't notice that she was even crying at the moment but all she did was to stare at this god in front of her. She wondered if she was in a dream.

" I like you Alyssa. " Calcel repeated himself this time including her name.

Alyssa looked deep in his eyes still not believing what she was hearing. Calcel raised his arms to dry off her tears with his hands but before his hands could touch her face Alyssa stopped him.

" Don't touch me ! " She commanded.

Calcel became confused about this but he stopped what he was yet to do.

" Don't you feel the same for me ? " He asked Alyssa.

She quickly dried off her tears with her palm and said.

" Of course I don't " Alyssa said and hearing this weakened him.

" I can never like you Calcel. You are my step son. " She added.

" What are you trying to mean ? " Calcel muttered.

" Calcel , By law I am your mother and you are my son. No way , You can't love me." Alyssa was sincere.

She wanted to tell him how she really loved him but she remembered what May told her and she had no choice but to tell Calcel that she couldn't go on with him.
