Chapter 13- Gate spawn horde(1)

Tora dragged Ace to the third floor as he handed him a key and pointed towards a room which apparently was his.

She stared at him intently as he opened the door and entered, before she entered hers.

" He was greeted by a truly majestic looking room. " Wow. I haven't been in one like this in ages. He spoke with a smile as he felt that Tora had done a good job getting him such a room. " Rich bastards" he gritted his teeth as his envious side quickly took over.

' Well since you asked for it, I'll leech of you with pleasure' he thought with an evil grin.

He quickly took a shower and played video games till he fell asleep. They were supposed to leave the city the next day.

**The following morning**

" Are you done packing up. Hurry it up. I don't want to be late. " Tora spoke impatiently.

" Yup. Let's go" Ace replied as he took his dear old rifle and his bag and headed out with Tora who had everything packed in a very expensive looking suitcase.

"Tsk" Ace sighed as he muttered the rest of his usual wards inwardly.

"Waiting for them was a smoking red sports car with a middle aged in the driver's seat. " I have come as you ordered my lady" the guy greeted as he stepped out of the vehicle and gave Tora a slight bow before taking her luggage into the booth of the car and then opening the front seat to her.

He sat in without sparing Ace a glance who stared at Tora with a more envious look and felt like beating some manners into the middle aged man.

He saw that the young lady was looking at them leave through the transparent glass door.

He smiled charmingly and waved before entering the car.

She blushed as it happened. 'What's wrong with me. Why am I flustered by him' she thought as she slapped herself several times to regain her cool. ' Well he isn't bad looking no he's gorgeous, if not for his attitude I might reconsider. What am I even saying??He's Tora's boyfriend. I stand no chance in the first place." she sighed 'Why am I even thinking this way???That scumbag' she inwardly yelled as she continued to slap herself.

" As they were preparing to leave, they saw a bloodied man rushing towards them with a joyful expression.

" Thank Heavens you are still here. Can you please help us deal with the gate spawns invading our city" he spoke with a bow though he was extremely hurt.

" What tier and how many?? Tora jumped out of the vehicle with a worried expression. Though she wanted to leave, she honestly didn't wish for any harm to befall the city.

" The gate opened a couple of minutes ago and six ape looking black tier gate spawns had emerged from it. More seemed to be coming. " Oh my. That's a horde. This city can't handle that" Tora blurted out with shock as according to a scale of the country which showed regions more likely to be affected by stronger gate spawns or multitudes of them, it shouldn't be happening.

This region wasn't one of them much less this city. The scale had been constructed after observation of attacks over the years. It had proven to be 90% accurate so far.

"Where exactly??" she asked the man who was about to pass out from losing too much blood. " The city square" the man spoke slowly before passing out.

"Get him medical help at once" she commanded at the young lady as he could see her watching with a shocked expression. She nodded and began to call for the medical staff of the hotel.

" I'll be back soon Gabriel. You can choose to not follow me if you want. I don't mind" Tora added as she stared at Ace before rushing with intense speed towards the city square.

" Heck I'm in. Free dark metal" Ace smiled as he also jumped out of the car. He was more confident than last time as he had a silver tier weapon this time.

" Would you come along" he asked the middle aged man as he knew he obviously wasn't simple if he was sent to bring Tora.

" No I believe the young lady can handle this herself." he spoke slowly but with a tone of confidence in Tora's strength. " Well suit yourself. " Ace smiled as also dashed away with speed greater than that of Tora which surprised the man.

"I'll have to make sure I get more than her." he thought as he planned to make sure things went his way.

According to rules made by the Dark Fang, gate spawn corpses, belongs to whoever kills them individually. If by team efforts, they should be shared according to contribution among members who participated.

Ace was planning to exploit that to his advantage.

" Those I can't reach on time, I'll strike attacks from afar to 'help' her. Hence I'll get more loot." he calculated further.

Before he knew it he had arrived at the city square.
