A Sudden Approach

Smiling and nodding, Ribard stated, "Yeah. I switched our places. Are you so tense that you didn't feel the pull? Here, pay close attention."

… Zzzip.

Jash kept a close eye on his surroundings this time. He felt like he was blinking and waking from a short nap's dream, as if his eyes were playing tricks on him. Jash also felt the subtle pull of spatial veita trying to suck Jash's body into his own abdomen, only for it to be too weak to cause actual harm and teleport him elsewhere instead.

"I think I've explained enough…" Ribard sighed and readied his stance. "Alright. Come at me."

"But can't you just–"

"Just because I'm capable of something doesn't mean I have to follow the strategy my enemy is assuming me to use," reasoned Ribard. "Come on, now. We've already seen that I can attack you whenever I want. Now, I want to see if you have the ability to attack me."
