S-class Monster!

Marco made his way to the far north Answering the request Of the Magic council. A monster descendent of legends has attacked a village to the North. A Bird of legend appeared and with a single wave of its wings destroyed an entire village.

" The way they describe this monster It could only be two things. A wyvern or a dragon! The answer is probably the former of the two, as acnologia killed all the dragons. Or at the very least most of them. Still though this is going to be challenging even for me. Better stay on my toes. Mira didn't even want me on this job If I die because I let my guard down. I'd never be able to face her again."

Marco said as he flew through the air towards the village or what was left of it. As he arrived, he Couldn't help but grimace at the massive destruction that was left behind by the monster.

" What the hell happened here?" Marco said as he looked around seeing what looked like a Lightning storm had hit the place. " A lightning Dragon? Wyvern? No, the dragons should be gone, and there's no way a Wyvern should be able to do something like this. I need to report this fast." Marco said however while he was reaching for a contact card His observation haki activated

Doom!

" Shit!" Marco yelled as he saw the future and dodged the bolt of lightning that roared past him. Looking up Marco saw a Yellow Bird descending from the sky. " That's not good!"

As the bird came down the sky darkened, and lightning clouds formed as lightning bolts began raining down from the sky. Marco couldn't dodge all of the bolts with his observation and was forced to block the bolt head on.

" Ahhhhh!" Marco yelled as he blocked just one of the many bolts heading his way blasting him back tearing through his flames of healing. " Damn it." Marco growled out as he began healing again. " Ok lightning bolts bad got it. Ok birdy It's my turn." Marco yelled as he transformed into his phoenix form and rushed the lightning bird.

The sudden appearance of a phoenix frightened the bird, but it quickly composed itself and flew towards the phoenix. The two mythical creatures meeting in the middle. A wall of flames and Lightning raged across the land. Marco switched to his hybrid form as he flipped around the birds back and slammed his haki infused foot into the birds back.

" PHOENIX DARK BRAND!" Marco yelled as the attack landed.

However, it seemed as though the attack did nothing as the bird shrugged it off like it was nothing more than a minor inconvenience. " Damn it's like it brushed my attack off like it was nothing. Heh! This is really something."

Kaaaaaaaaaah! The monstrous bird roared Racing back towards marco.

" Damn it! Here it comes again." Marco said as he too raced back in clashing with the monster trying to overpower it. However even with his haki Marco was just barely able to push the monster back. A feat however small that left the bird stunned for a moment. " Damn even with all that I was only able to push this damned beast back a little." Marco said feeling the exhaustion of the battle beginning to creep in.

Kaaaaaaa! The bird yelled sending another swarm of lightning bolts raging towards marco. Seeing the attacks coming Marco transformed into his phoenix form again and began dodging the attacks rushing towards him.

" Damn it! Why the hell didn't I just go on that stupid job with lucy and the others?" Marco questioned as he looked at his current situation. " What can I do to hurt this thing? I doubt this monster will just let me leave now that it knows I can fight back. I need to figure this out fast or else I'm dead." Marco said as he turned around to face the bird again. My phoenix roar and phoenix dark roar take a lot out of me. I shouldn't use those until I know i can get a good hit in on it. Marco thought to himself before the bird sent another wave of lightning at him. " Damn it you stupid bird." Marco yelled as he began dodging again.

The bird launched attack after attack at marco forcing the man to dodge wildly.

" Ok let's see how you like being hit by these damned blasts." Marco said as he turned around headed straight towards the bird with multiple blasts of lightning following after him. After a few seconds Marco arrived in front of the bird and dropped his transformation flinging himself over the birds back and letting the lightning hit the bird instead of him. As the Lightning hit the bird let out a thunderous roar.

KAAAAAAAAAA!" The bird roared in pain sending Lightning off its body and letting out a large breath of lightning from its mouth.

" Whoa! Damn it! I pissed it off even more." Marco yelled as he was forced off the birds back by the large amount of lightning in front of him. " Huh! what is that?" Marco asked as he saw a crack on the bird's chest. Seeing this marco took the opportunity and rushed forward

" PHOENIX DARK BRAND!" Marco yelled slamming his haki infused attack into the crack on the bird's chest sending the bird reeling in pain once again.

KAAAAAAAA!" The bird roared as the attack seemed to have hurt him

" Ah! I see, so you didn't like that did ya big fella? Then you're really gonna hate this next one." Marco said feeling a burst of confidence at finally seeing a way to hurt the beast. Though saying that, the beast probably won't let me anywhere near that spot again. Marco thought to himself. " So, I'll have to get creative!" If I can catch it off guard with my phoenix edge, and phoenix flare. I might be able to finish it off with the phoenix dark roar. If not, then I'm a dead man. " Mira, give me strength!" Marco yelled as he flew towards the bird.

The bird drew in large amounts of lightning creating a shield around itself and hurled more lightning bolts towards marco.

" PHOENIX EDGE!" Marco yelled as he flapped his wings and numerous blades came forth countering the bolts of lightning. He repeated this process and launched more at the bird forcing it to dodge

" PHOENIX DARK EDGE" Marco yelled repeating the attack this time imbuing it with haki making the blades longer and sharper. The bird dodged most of blades before getting caught in one of its wings by a blade that marco had rebounded. the attack did little more than knock the bird off balance, however this was the moment marco needed.

Huh! This is my chance. Marco thought to himself as he rushed into the bird. I've never tried this one before, but I can't afford to hold back. Marco arrived right in front of the bird getting pelted by the raging lightning surrounding the creature and yelled out

" PHOENIX DARK FLAAAAAARE!" Marco then released a massive explosion of dark flames that engulfed the bird blowing away the bird's armor of lightning, causing the crack in the bird's chest to expand as the bird itself was sent flying. Marco continued to pursue his chance at victory and rushed forward.

I need to focus on that one spot. Marco thought.

" PHOENIX DARK ROAR: PIERCING SHOT!" Marco yelled as he fired a focused version of his phoenix roar piercing the bird's chest. Tearing away at the bird's inner organs, however as he did that, the bird also launched a bolt of lightning that pierced through marco.

" Argh!" Marco yelled out in pain as the lightning passed through him. Leaving behind a searing pain and a nasty tattoo of lightning spreading out across his body. Marco collapsed to the floor roaring in pain as the legendary monster took its last breaths.

KAAAAaaaaaah! The bird yelled out. As it passed away a yellow orb of light left its body and went inside of marco, causing the man even more pain. " ARGHHHHH!" Marco yelled out as he finally passed out.

After the dust settled, the moon was out. The raging battle that shook the land lasted a total of 12 hours. Both fighters so distracted in their battle they never noticed the world around them changing.
