15 Dissent!

" What's up with them? Most of the time these guys would just be loafing around the guild hall all day." Lucy said making mira laugh

" Ahhh! Knowing those guys, they probably spent all their money before the battle, and now that they have the chance, they're gonna make more." Marco said gulping down his booze.

" Marco sweety, I told you not to drink so much." Mira said with a frown

" This is my first one." Marco exclaimed causing mira to puff out her cheeks and pout. " Come on mira, don't be like that." Marco said putting his booze down.

" You two seem like a really good couple.' Lucy said causing both of them to blush.

" Thank you." Marco tried mumbling, but everyone still heard.

" Anyway, I don't suppose you guys have seen loke have you?" lucy asked

" Oh, don't tell me you've fallen head over heels for fairy tails resident playboy!" Mira joked causing marco to laugh

" It's not like that! It's just apparently, he was the one who found my keys, I just wanted to tell him thanks for his help."

" Sure, I'll let him know if I see him! So, were your celestial spirits mad at you? you know for dropping your keys." Mira asked

" Yeah, you could say that. And there was one spirit in particular who was really Pò'd with me." Lucy said while thinking about Aquarius. " Just thinking about it makes my butt sting." Lucy said while holding her butt.

" I could cool it for ya!" Gray said to lucy holding ice in his hand.

" That sounds like sexual harassment to me."

" Lucy, can you show me how red your butt is?" Happy said

" And With That Comment You've crossed the line!" Lucy yelled

" How do you think she'll react if I make her butt sting even more?" Natsu asked happy with fire in his hands

" WHO ARE YOU THE DEVIL?" lucy yelled

" AHahaha!" Marco laughed

Suddenly a barrel is flung into natsu knocking him down and Stopping Marcos laughter.

" Why don't you tell the others how you feel!" Erza yelled

" I have no problem telling them what I think of them. This guilds full of nothing, but losers and weaklings.' Laxus said to Erza " especially the two of you morons. You were phantoms personal punching bags. you know I'm glad i never bothered to learn your names." Laxus said to the injured jet and Droy. " Which brings me to the worst of them all. The rich little princess wannabe wizard. This was all your fault." laxus said to lucy

" Laxus!" Mira yelled " would you shut up? The master said no one in the guild was to be accountable for what happened, not even you. Despite the fact that I begged you to come help and you turned your back on us." Mira yelled drawing Marcos's attention

" Stop your whining, that fight had nothing to do with me. But If I had been there, you wouldn't be drowning your sorrows in this pile of rubble right now." Laxus retorted

" I heard enough out of you!" Natsu yelled as he rushed to punch laxus. Laxus dodged the punch by turning into lightning

" Come on laxus fight me like a man you gutless coward." Natsu yelled

" Ahhaha, how do you expect to fight me when you can't even touch." Laxus was making fun of natsu before being cut off by Marco slamming his fist into his jaw " Argh!" Laxus yelled as he was sent flying.

" He might not be able to touch you, but I sure as hell can." Marco said as he recoiled himself.

" Why you, little punk!" Laxus yelled with his veins showing on his face.

Laxus got back up and launched a fist of lightning towards marco

" Lightning Fist!"

Marco responded by doing the same

" Phoenix fist!"

The two wizards launched their respective elemental attacks towards each other. The collision sending flames and lightning everywhere within the guild's current headquarters. The attacks exploded and canceled each other out. Marco went in to attack, but laxus again transformed into lightning dodging the attack.

Damn he's better with his lightning than the other guy from phantom was. Marco thought to himself. This is going to be difficult no matter what I do.

This arrogant punk he's actually keeping up with me. But even if he was selected by that old man to be an S-class wizard He still can't beat me! Laxus thought to himself

The two wizards again rushed at each other. Marco in his phoenix form met laxus clad in his lightning head on. The explosion from the collision pushed both the men back. Both men on one knee in front of the other.

" Not bad loser! You might not become a mockery to our guild after all. But there's nothing you can do to beat me. I'm still the strongest."

" You're going to regret that statement laxus."

" That's enough!" Makarov yelled to the two wizards. " Laxus Now isn't the time for your petty games. Knock it off. And Marco you shouldn't be so quick to temper even if laxus is the one starting it. You two are guild mates you shouldn't be fighting each other like fierce enemies." Makarov said

" Forgive me master." Marco said as he recovered himself.

" Hmph, whatever! When this guild becomes mine none of you losers will have a place in it." Laxus said leaving in a flash of lightning

" Marco are you alright?" Mira asked

" Yeah, I'm fine. I hate to admit it, but if he and I actually fought a real battle we'd probably end up killing each other." Marco said shocking everyone in the guild even more than they already were.

" Dude, that doesn't matter. You're strong enough to fight laxus as an equal. That's not something a lot of people can say." Gray said complimenting his friend and savior.

" Yeah. You really are a real man's man. Truly worthy of my sister." elfman said in a pose

" Yeah, that was awesome." Natsu yelled as fire and stars came out his mouth.

" Quite. Thank you marco, for your help." Erza said

" Ah don't mention it. It was no big deal." Marco said

" What a jerk. Why would anyone ever let him take over?" Lucy asked

" We may not have a choice. Laxus could inherit the guild because he is the master's grandson." Mira said causing lucy to freak out. " Whether we like it or not he is at the top of a short list of people that could assume command if the master were to retire." Mira said

" Really! That sucks. Someone who talks like that isn't worthy of being fairy tails leader. Marco On the other hand Seems like a perfect choice. Wouldn't you agree mira?" Lucy asked making mira blush

" Oi! Oi! I'm enjoying my life right now, don't throw more work at me that isn't necessary." Marco said taking a break from his booze that he had started drinking again

" Anyway, Its been rumored master makarov refuses to retire for that very reason." Mira said

" Man, I hate him." Natsu said as he balled up his fist.

" Calm down. It's just a needless waste of energy. Let's try to get your mind off him. What do you think about taking a job. And we can get Gray, lucy, and Marco to come with us

" Eh!" Gray said nervously

" Do what?" Lucy asked

" Hey gray, your clothes." Mira said

" Ahhh!" Gray screamed realizing he was almost naked

" Oi! Erza what did I say about unnecessary work, Besides I want to spend more time with the love of my life. I love you, Mira!" Marco exclaimed drunkenly.

" Marco! This is why I told you to stop drinking so much." Mira yelled as she took his 30th Mug away from him.

" Why not marco? After all we've been working together since the Eisenwald incident, that pretty much makes us like a team of sorts." Erza said

" It took her this long to figure that out. We all knew." wakaba said

" Yeah, those guys have been joined at the hip for a while now and this is the first time, she's called them her team?" Macao said

" That's erza for ya." Cana said

" So, what do you think about making it official? The 5 of us working together as a team, well actually 6 if we include happy." Erza said

" You sure you want someone like me on your team?" Lucy asked

" Not someone like you, Lucy it's gotta be exactly you." natsu exclaimed

" Aye!" Happy said

" It just wouldn't feel right if we didn't have you out there with us ya know." Natsu said with a smile

" Now that they have finally realized it, I guess they're finally our strongest team." cana said

" Yeah, it's about time." macao said

' Is lucy one of our strongest?" wakaba asked

" " I know i'd be done for if she sicked that psycho Aquarius on me." Alzack said

" She's got a real sharp tongue too.' Droy said

" Yeah, she's one of the best in the guild." jet said

" i gotta team up with him!" Natsu and gray both said glaring at each other.

" Problem boys?" Erza asked glaring at them both.

" No, we're absolutely thrilled!" Gray and natsu said waving their arms in defeat

" Oi! Why do you keep counting me in the math." Marco said before collapsing.

" There, There Marco. Let me make it all better for you." Mira said as she laid marco in her lap. An action that made the drunk man happy.

" I've already got a job lined up for us taking down an Arcane cult in the castle town of Lupinus. With me?" Erza asked

" Yeah! Everyone but marco said in unison

Later

" Retire huh! With a new hall perhaps, the guild needs a new master as well. But who? Laxus, He's got some personal issues to sort out. Mystogan, A silent recluse is hardly leader material. Ther's also Erza and Marco. But Erza is still rather young. And Marco." Makarov thought before being interrupted.

" Oh, there you are master. I've been looking all over for you. It seems they've done it again sir." Mira

" Done what?" Makarov asked

" Erza and her team sir. They completed the Lupinus job, but they destroyed half the town." Mira said causing Makarov to have a heart attack

" Ahhhh!" Makarov yelled with a grim look on his face.

" The magic council has demanded that you submit a written apology immediately." Mira said as makarov faded into dust " Master is something wrong?"

" I'M NEVER GONNA BE ABLE TO RETIRE AT THIS RATE!" makarov yelled.

The next day.

" What do you mean you aren't coming Marco?" Lucy asked

" Sorry Lucy I gotta sit this one out, A new emergency request went up on the S-class board and it seems like my magic would best be suited for this situation." Marco said to the group.

" You need me to come with you Marco? Erza asked

" Nah Erza you guys go have fun, Besides Lucy hardly ever gets to pick the jobs we do. I'll be able to handle this."

" Alright but be careful out there Marco. There's nothing wrong with having to retreat."

" Yeah, Erza I hear ya." Marco said as he and team fairy tail walked off into different directions.
