Does she not have any shame

Once safely inside the car, she shot an innocent look at the guy on the other side and gestured for him to drive. She repeated the gesture twice, but the guy continued to stare blankly at her, leaving her holding her breath, fearing he might suddenly snap and force her out of his vehicle.

To her surprise, he responded like an automated robot, putting the car in gear and driving forward. A wave of relief washed over her, and she finally began to calm down. She had just managed to regulate her breathing when her phone buzzed. It was Minae, and she could only imagine how worried her friend must be about her whereabouts. Without hesitation, she answered the call.

Hyun-u continued to drive obediently ahead, but suddenly, a wave of realization hit him like a ton of bricks. What on earth was he doing? He had been momentarily shocked by the almost-accident incident and the sudden intrusion of this peculiar woman into his car, but now rationality had finally caught up with him.

Questions swirled in his mind. What was he doing? Who was this girl, and more importantly, where was she heading? She had entered his car without so much as informing him of her destination. Destination? Was he seriously going to play the role of a taxi driver for this lady? It was the rational thing to do now—to pull over and have her leave his vehicle.

He stole a quick glance at the lady, who was engrossed in her phone. She appeared tense, desperately pleading with someone on the other end of the call for assistance. It was evident that she was in dire need of help. Hyun-u found himself in an internal battle, torn between assisting her and maintaining his own anonymity. But then he remembered, she didn't know him, did she? Yet, what sane woman wouldn't recognize him in this world?

He is…

He was about to continue his self-praising thoughts when the lady interrupted his reverie.

"You know Fishing Bay, right? Please head that way. That's where I'm going," she said, leaving the statement hanging in the air. She then turned her attention to her appearance, using the sun visor mirror to check herself.[MMV1]

"Mmh,"

he replied, still processing the situation.

She retrieved wipes from her bag and began to clean what appeared to be splash stains from her skirt and face. It seemed she had been soaked by an impatient driver who lacked tolerance.

Hyun-u couldn't help but wonder why he had agreed without much thought, feeling somewhat like a pushover. He needed to break this silence, to show that he wasn't easily taken advantage of. But what she did next caught him off guard, making him question if this lady had any shame at all.
