When the video ended, there was silence as everyone was still shocked by what they had witnessed. Even the people of GT's public relations who were not system personnel were shocked, so that alone was enough to figure out what others were feeling.
Everyone still keeps looking at the screen despite the video already ended. Seemingly, trying to play itin their heads over and over again.
"Ehem", Dianna faked a cough, waking everyone from their stupor. Now that we are clear about the true nature of the Ganesh, let's talk about their intentions."
Everyone looked at her, but clearly their minds were somewhere else.
Dianna noticed, but paid it no heed. She somehow expected this kind of result. Especially with the ending, the Legion really knew how to intimidate.
After all, shock and fear were clearly visible on the face of the Professor. This video was, after all, not just for humanity, but even more so for the Ganesh. The video was carefully made and edited as a warning to the Ganesh.
Oda and the rest were cautious about what and how much was needed to be released to the public. Too much and it might cause unnecessary panic. Too little and their intended outcome will not be realized.
Even so, revealing this much information was never their intention, but when humanity began to question the intention about the war and the resolve for war took a nosedive this was the only solution they could think of. For humanity to gain back its resolve, it needed to know who or what it was fighting for, not just what the superiors were telling everyone.
In other words, GT was forced to reveal this information to save the GFA. Karou's agents were successful in forcing GT to reveal their hands; it's just that these were not the results they had expected. If before many were questioning the purpose of the Ganesh, now they all knew the reason for Ganesh existence.
And If before many were questioning the motive of GFA for going to war with Ganesh, now they have their answers.
Dianna continued speaking since she didn't care whether the crowd was ready for it or not.
"Now you know who or what they are, next let's see about their true behaviour. Some of you may have different opinions regarding the video, so here's another one."
"What! There's more? Their minds still haven't recovered from the earlier shock, and now she was showing yet another video?"
Before they could even process the earlier information, another piece was coming up.
"Our surveillance drones took this video during the course of the war with Ganesh." with that said, let's play the video.
At first, it showed a view of the space peaceful and beautiful, endless and boundless. For a few seconds, nothing but space can be seen, if it had been shown before many would be questioning and complaining in their mind but after the earlier video, all of them are patiently waiting for what kind of explosive news GT would be releasing again.
And soon enough the drone that was travelling the space stopped. Then it seemed to turn right and when it did a clear view of a spacecraft could be seen.
Everyone could see the serial number and the code etched on the spacecraft, which let many immediately recognize it. It was Princess Pearl, a peacekeeping ship dedicated to giving aid to many races affected by war.
A few months ago, this ship went missing, no one knew what had happened to it. Its last known transmission was when it was going to planet Harlok, a planet devastated by the war, one of the planets that has been subjugated by the Ganesh. And after the sector was liberated a peacekeeping mission to help those affected by war was launched, and Princess Pearl was one of those ships.
Countless conspiracy theories were created when the Princess Pearl disappeared, and now they would all have their answers.
The drone pointed its cams at Princess Pearl. The damage on its exterior showed clearly that it had been attacked. The drone continued to go around, revealing what the Princess Pearl was facing. And sure enough, it was Ganesh.
The ships of the Ganesh have very distinct shapes and features, and by now everyone could recognize them, after all it had been featured in many movies and animations so even a kid could recognize it.
Bzzzzt bzzzzt…. I… rep…..w… bzzzzt.. a fragmented transmission was captured by the drones..
Bzzt this… prin….. zzzzt earl…. W... peace..miss.. i repe…
Bzzt.... everyone could figure out that the drones were trying to filter out the transmission. And soon enough, a clear transmission was heard.
"This is Captain Elsmere De Grace of Princess Pearl. We are on a peacekeeping mission. We surrender, we are not soldiers.. I repeat we are on a peacekeeping mission,.. we surrender, we are not soldiers… "
But when the drones finally reached the front of the princess pearl, giving the full view of the forces the Princess Pearl was facing everyone could feel their heart jumping. Clearly, they could already anticipate what was going to happen next. Sure enough, the Ganesh main battleship opened up revealing a massive cannon which began to power up.
"No! We are a peace keeping ship. Please do not fire we are civilians we surrender do not fire.. I repeat…"
Everyone could now hear the desperation and hopelessness in her voice. Many began to clench their fists. Some were already in tears.
Maybe the Ganesh didn't hear them. Some said in their mind. But the next moment all those vain thoughts vanished.
"Puny creatures, fighting for hopeless dreams. Your fate is to serve us, baring your fangs on your gods can only result in your deaths." Karou's cruel voice can be heard.
This incident happened when Karou's forces were on the verge of retreat after suffering several defeats at the hands of GFA and other forces who were using GT's drones. Of course, GT would not reveal that part.
After that Ganesh main cannon fired, destroying the drones ending the video. But as soon as it ended, another one began to play. This one took place not in space but inside the planet.
They can hear gunshots, explosions and shouting in the background, as well as the heavy breathing..
