151 Powerful Kitten and Semi-Humans

"NO!! We should attack while they are down!"

This was the first thing that I heard when I got (pretty late) to the conference room.

I'm not gonna blame the checkup for arriving late to the meeting, I wanted to stay in bed with Rose a little longer than usual, so it was entirely my fault. In the end, Paws came looking for Rose, and we had to get up.

Dante came with me to the checkup and the meeting, at the beginning I wanted Rose to go with me to the conference too, but she wanted to take care of Paws and Cai-Cai.

For the checkup, there was a Dr. that I recognized from the Aurora Clinic. Of course, after a night rest, he was surprised that I was in perfect condition and send me out.

Then when I got to the conference room, I could hear Blake screaming.

I opened the door and I saw Mr. D'Aurora, an old bald men, and Giorgio representing the Aurora Clinic. From Green Shelter Dr. Harting, Ian, Blake, Leon, Milo and Dr. Rehn were there, there was also an old woman and a medium age guy that I didn't know but saw them in the meeting to decide what to do with the help request from aurora clinic.

I like to count myself and Dante as a third party thou. I don't know how advanced the conversation was, but Blake's opinion was pretty clear in the topic of the war against the NDR.

Blake was standing on his feet with a fist on the table. With the sound of the opening door, all the heads in the room turned to look at me.

"Sorry, I had to go to the clinic for a checkup."

"Come here we were waiting for you."

I sat down, and Dante jumped on the table and curled in front of me.

The bald man frowned and asked.

"Why is a cat in this reunion?"

I had already planned to reveal Dante's ability, at least some of it now, it was difficult to explain how we handled the third wave without doing it, and the rescue had already showed some of his abilities anyway.

"Because he solved the problem with the third wave."

After what I said most of the made a face like if they were trying to evaluate if I was an idiot or just crazy, Blake seemed to think about something.

"You mentioned a third wave yesterday, but our scouts never found anything related to it."

At that moment Dante's voice sounded on everyone's head.

Blake frowned and looked at me as if I had something to do with it.

"I was unconscious so don't look at me, I have no idea where the battle happened or why de scout stopped there."

He seemed to doubt for a second but then explained a little about it.

"It was their instructions, we needed people here, so we told them to keep watch five blocks away so we could be ready if they saw something getting close but in the end nothing happened… did you said that he handled it?"

"After what he did to the NDR you shouldn't be that surprised."

Some people there had confused gazes as they didn't know what I was talking about, but for those that knew a part of what happened, they already understood what I was getting to.

The information of what happened in the NDR headquarters was still confusing, and from what Johanna told them Dante was involved and was thanks to whom they were able to leave that place, but beside the rescue, a bunch of people with powers that just follow orders came to join Green Shelter. I Knew the full story of course, but I had no idea about what happened to the third wave.

"Wait a second, you are telling me that the cat is powerful enough to get rid of a whole wave alone?? Why you didn't send him to the clinic?"

"Because he is not the raw type of strong, and he was just coming back from a 3 days mission when this happened, so he had to rest. Now if we finished talking about my cat can we start the meeting?"

Mr. D'Aurora had an amused smile, I knew that he didn't like the bald man either. Dr. Harting's mind was wondering about the real extent of Dante's powers, and the others were just trying to assimilate the idea of the cat being so smart.

Dr. Harting decided to start the meeting finally.

"Spencer is right, let's go in order. Before we get on the topic… Dante, is there any threat from the beasts from the east right now?"

'No, after what happened they will probably withdraw and wait for a while.'

"Then if no one opposes we will start talking about the newcomers."

I knew that Blake wanted to talk about safety measures and a full attack on the NDR, but he saved it for himself.

The first part of the meeting was pretty dull, they mostly talked about the placement and how the new people could help.

I took the chance to talk with the system, this part of the conversation had nothing to do with me. I wanted to take a look at the shop and check what did I miss with the other options of the maxed out attributes.

Everything was what I thought it was. Intuition was a kind of lesser version of sixth sense, of course, there would have been a synergy effect, and it had some uses during combat that sixth sense doesn't have. Experience was a lot more than I thought, it helped me to speed up the leveling of all my abilities.

Heavy lifter was to carry more weight, and bull force was a permanent increase in strength. Skilled with weapons and swift fingers were self-explanatory.

The second part was about remodeling part of the city, they wanted to create real barricades and walls to make it easier to resist against a possible attack.

I browsed the weapons and materials where a didn't find anything good enough, this was too limited, and there wasn't even a single weapon on the level of the ones that G and Hope got from the surprise box.

Besides me, Blake, the old woman, and Milo haven't said anything yet either. They were still discussing which street to block and I shared some of my thinking about where to leave the main entrances and just barricade everything else as thoroughly as possible, there was also a little expansion on topic.

The third topic was about the appeared of the semi-humans.

"So the report says that you went back to fight a minotaur and a satyr?"

Dr. Harting and the old woman were the most interest on this topic.

"There was also a giant boar, but I think that you are interested in the semi-humans?"

The old woman nodded, she indeed interested in this topic, this was the reason for her to be here after all.

"Yes, can you give a description first?"

"Sure, but first I prefer the term man-bull and man-goat, minotaur and satyr could create the false idea that their powers are related to the mythological creatures, and it's not like that at least in this cases."

The woman nodded, she was taking notes.

I described both appearances and the powers that I noticed they had.

"I think that there is an important detail here and is that we think that these are real semi-humans and not something created by Hamilton."

"What do you mean created by Hamilton?"

Dr. Harting and the people from the hunting groups knew this information, but the people from Aurora clinic, Dr. Rehn, and the middle-aged man didn't have a clue. The old woman was informed about it by Dr. Harting previously, so she wasn't as surprised by it.

I just told them the short version of it.

"From what we know, the NDR created some humans with beast characteristics, this was mainly done with reptiles so it probable that this two were naturally created."

"So there is the possibility of founding more semi-humans?"

"There are more semi-humans, the ones created by the NDR, but there should be more naturally created besides those two."

Some were still digesting the information about the semi-humans when the old woman started to talk.

"If we were to apply this to our current theory, it would mean either a human mutated and acquired animal characteristics, or an animal mutated to get human characteristics."

This was the same that I had been thinking before. But to know which one was, in this case, was difficult.

"I have the same idea. I'm a little inclined to the second option, but I would never bet on it."
