121 I’m not a Doctor

We were already informed about the lack of beasts on the area so after reaching the checkpoint we continue to move towards the south to meet them as soon as possible, of course, we wouldn't take our chances, and we have some guards with us just in the case that something happens.

It didn't take me too long to see them, there were some people that I didn't recognize on top of a door that was being carried by to unknown individuals.

Zak was carrying Johanna and G was carrying another unknown girl. From the descriptions, I knew that Frederick and Ines were on top of the door and were the ones that Dante's said were in a critical state. It took them a while before they noticed us too. We accelerated our strides as soon as I said that I could see them.

"Weren't there supposed to be only three injured?!"

Dr. Rehn was confused by the appearance of the extra girl, but Dante came to my rescue because I didn't know either what was happening, and who was the girl on G's back.

'The girl that is being carried by Gerhard just fainted because of the rats she is in no danger.'

Rats? Whatever there wasn't enough time to discuss it, we were almost there.

A redhead that was next to Dr. Harting went to the guys carrying the door and told them to stop. We swarmed the injured and put them on the stretchers. First I did was use detox on all of them to be sure that they weren't poisoned since nothing happened I could be sure that there was no risk of that … if the poison was stronger than my ability, then probably they wouldn't have made it here.

Dante was on Hayley's arms resting, my heart aches when I saw him dirty and with some scratches on his paws, Cai-Cai seemed to be on high spirits and looked around happily inside a little bag on G's belt, she was as dirty as Dante, but I couldn't see any scratches…She was bigger the last time I saw her… I pat Dante's head to which he purred happily.

I need to get strong faster, I can't be at home while my cat does everything.

I wanted to hug and scold him a little for his recklessness at the same time, but he knew what I was thinking already, and that was enough for now. I will check on him later so we could have a good talk, so I focused on the people that were in danger.

This was the first time that I was going to use the vital points view for medical and more analytical purposes since I got the upgrade.

Then my view changed again, on top of my usual view, on the bodies of everyone I could see points and a constant flow between them, that represented their vitality, the colors varied from one point to another, the points and colors I could see now were part of the auras that I could see now.

The more vivid colors represented a stronger aura, and those places or points where the color was duller it meant that there was a problem on the area. I was glad to see that Cai-Cai and Dante were fine, so I continued to check the others, but for the rest, I had no idea the extent of the damage or how to help to repair them but pointing the problems would help later for them to focus on it.

We moved back to Green Shelter while listening to Johanna's and Dante Story.

Dante's version was better and more detailed, and both stories were consistent with what I could see with vital points view. Frederick upper body was in a horrible state, the same as one of his arms, if I have to guess besides the bruises that were clearly visible he had fractures on his left arm and a couple of ribs. From the vitality, I could see that he is probably going to make it, and there was no damage to the ribcage, but I could see some damage on his abdomen that Dr. Rehn will need to check.

Johanna beside getting a nasty scar on her leg was going to be able to walk soon, the bullet went in and out, and there was no damage to the bone or any vital blood vessels.

The problem was mainly with Ines who's vitality flow was almost stagnant on the zone of her head, the strike went just on her nape, so the probability of her being able to wake up again is nearly zero, and that is if she manages to survive, wake up, and maintain her other brain functions. It was incredible what a single strike on the head can do. Dante's comments about her state of mind made me realize that I was right and she probably has significant brain damage.

Dr. Harting was informed about the situation on Aurora Clinic and went directly to the conference room when we arrived at the school, in the meantime most of them focused on Ines and Frederick, Since they needed all the help they could get, I was asked to help with Johanna's wound. I'm sure that this was Dante's doing so I just smiled at him.

Together with Zak and Hayley, we went to the room where I was taken care off. I searched around for the thing that I would need.

G went to another way with the other guy that I think is called Milo, and the redhead girl trio. Apparently, they were waiting for the other girl to wake up.

I managed to get everything I need to take her of her wound, with Hayley's help she changed to a hospital gown and sat on the mattress, for me to take care of the wounds.

The wound was on her thigh about 10 cm above the knee on the outside. I could see the entry and the exit wound, I started by cleaning her leg and the injury.

We already heard the first part of the story about how they were kidnapped. She continued with the story.

"I woke up on some kind of underground cell, Frederick was beaten badly, and Ines was unconscious, I checked them and tried to wake them up but I couldn't, but I knew that they were still alive. I thought this is it, but then I received a telepathic message from your cat telling me that I didn't have to worry that he was going to rescue us… I didn't believe him."

She smiled wryly recalling that moment.

"When I saw Chambers coming to get us I lost all hope. I had no idea what was going to happen, so I just tried to keep him talking, I remember telling him that they were done and we knew everything already… it was when the girl that Gerhard was carrying arrived.

I don't know what she had to do, but apparently, she was the one that decided what happened to us with her power, but before she could do the test or whatever, chambers said something about rats and left the place with everyone but the girl.

I tried to think of a way to escape she didn't seem to be a fighter, but I was restrained and wounded, it was when lots of rats came into the room led by a white rat…Ouch!! Careful"

I was disinfecting the wound, and that could sting a little, also I think that I may have pressed the injury a little too hard. Dante in an alliance with a rat? Hard to believe if you ask me.

"Sorry."

"He said a lot of weird stuff about demons and princesses. He was the leader of the rats that came to rescue us and was called Pinky, one of Dante's ally. The rat's presence made the girl faint, and the rats broke the restrains and take us with them, including the girl. They run with us to the sewers, and we arrived at a vast chamber where Cai-Cai was waiting. A little later Dante appeared I think he went to investigate on his own I'm not sure about it, I think that we spend at least half a day on the sewers I fall asleep at some point but every time I woke up I saw Dante walking among the rats.

Finally, a light appeared over our heads, and someone came down and started to carry us back to the street, I think that Pinky had something to do because Dante talked with him and he stayed on the sewers."

While Johanna finished, I was ready to put a couple of stitches on her leg. Everything went smoothly,. The stitches looked fine, and I covered the wound.

"Don't wet it for a couple of days, I'm going to tell a nurse to help you clean yourself later ok?"

Johanna has been looking all the time while I made the stitches.

"This is a good job. I didn't know that you were a doctor."

"I'm not, I just learned first aid a while ago."

"Medicine student?"

"Nop, Astronomy remember that I was Dr. Harting Student…"

"That's even more amazing. I'm starting to get why he thinks so highly about you and your group."

"Thank you, now rest, I want to take care of my cat's paws."
