69 LXVII: A Visit

Aeia entered her office on the second floor of a tavern she recently purchased. A sigh left her as she sat on a chair directly facing a table with a few stacks of paper.

The alignment of the worlds made her cease conducting trades with the nearby kingdoms. Having the same fear as the populace of foreign worlds taking over Gaia, she settled in this town for the time being. The only way to contribute and profit is to supply weapons, provisions or even provide illicit entertainment for the worn soldiers.

Looking around, Aeia saw her purse on the table and immediately snatched it. She counted the coins and found that there were twenty more silver coins in it. Almost instantly, she knew that her cousin had definitely put the additional coins. Her cousin was sneaky in borrowing some of her money and was also sneaky when returning it.
