"Why don't you come with?" Len asked as he shrugged himself into his leather jacket with a reluctant look on his face. He was meeting up with his band and some of the Crakt Soundzz guys at another of the clubs they used to play at. Lou, XrAid's old manager had talked Lily, Lennon, and the rest of their band into a short, unplugged session as a surprise for one of his lady friend's birthdays.

"Not tonight, Lennie; to be honest I want some time to process," I replied, needing a little time to myself.

"We'll only be up for forty-five minutes at the most," he said as he tried again to persuade me again.

I wandered over beside him and straightened his jacket collar. I found the clean smell of him with his fresh body wash and shampoo infinitely appealing.
