Evolving As Chimchar On Earth

Waking up in the body of a Chimchar on a large and undiscovered desert island on Earth, Vulcan has no recollection of his past and only the knowledge of his death and the Pokemon he had been reborn as. Unlike regular Pokemon, he has no level and instead grows stronger after ingesting biomass. With no system and no set moves he can use, he must survive through just using his instincts, creating his own attacks, and evolving.

Reborn As A Chimchar?

'Where am I? Why can't I remember anything? Have I been reincarnated?', this was the first thought that entered Vulcan's mind. He knew he had died, or at least that's what he remembered happening to him last as he had felt the oncoming truck crush his body.

He could feel a thick slime like substance coating his entire body. It was warm and comforting to him despite being unnatural.

His body felt strange compared to normal, and he also had an odd feeling that there was something added to his body that he could not figure out. He tried to move his arms and legs, only to come into contact with a hard substance blocking him from going any further.

After trying to move past whatever was blocking him, Vulcan found that he had quickly become tired and fell into a deep sleep.

Once he woke up after an unknown amount of time, he attempted to break through whatever was containing him once again, only to get no results. This caused him to fall asleep much like before.

This repeated multiple times, and every time Vulcan participated in this activity he seemed to find it easier to move his body and had a feeling he was making more progress each time.

Eventually, after what seemed like forever, his efforts bore fruit and an area in the material surrounding him cracked and allowed some light to show through. He continued to push against the cracked area and, after a bit of effort, managed to push through and roll out of it.

As soon as he got outside of his previous 'prison', Vulcan noticed something. What he had been stuck in the entire time was an egg, of all of the things possible it was an egg.

This was very confusing to him until he looked down at his own body an saw an incredibly animalistic view. He had a predominantly deep red fur covered body with a midnight black stomach with a swirl on it along with his legs and hands being the same colour. He looked behind himself and realised what the unfamiliar feeling was, he had a small tail that did not go far off of his body, but had a wine purple flame on the end.

(Orange of the body swapped with deep red. White areas swapped with midnight black. Orange flame swapped with a wine purple flame.)

Vulcan was confused and thought to himself, 'What am I? Clearly I'm not a human like I was in my past life. Not only is my colouring completely off for that to be the case, this tail and flame attached to me completely prove it. If anything, my body type seems more similar to that of a monkey than anything else. I guess I should find some water to see myself more clearly.'

As he had been too busy looking at himself to notice his surroundings, it came as a surprise to Vulcan that he was in a jungle like environment surrounded by large trees and the noise of an array of different animals.

He took a while to get used to his new body, but relatively easily managed to get the hang of it to start making his way to find a water source. His short legs walked across the greenery covered ground and ever so slightly started to pick up pace before bursting into the fastest speed they could manage.

Vulcan was impressed by his own capabilities and thought to himself, 'This body can do so much even though I've just been born. I wonder what it will be like when it grows.'

After running for a while, Vulcan got slightly tired and rested for a moment by leaning on a tree. However, he realised after a moment of resting that his energy came back to him much faster than he had assumed it would. As soon as he felt reenergised enough, he started moving again and continued onwards.

After a while, Vulcan came across what he had been looking for, as he found a flowing stream of water about a meter wide. Vulcan's first thought was to look at the reflection of his face, as he only had the ability to look at his body without the use of a reflection.

Immediately after looking at himself Vulcan realised something, he strongly resembled the Pokemon Chimchar, but looked more realistic and obviously differently coloured. His face had the same colours swapped from the original design as his body did, and his eyes were a brilliant shade of gold that stood out from the rest of his quite darkly coloured body. He was only around half a meter tall, and his body did not seem to have much power held within it. However, due to his experience of his running speed and stamina regeneration, Vulcan knew his body was hiding its potential.

As he knew that his body would need water at some point, Vulcan pre-emptively drank some and remembered the location of the river. Now that he had found a water source, Vulcan decided his next move should be to procure food of some kind.

He did not want to stray too far away from the river, so he chose to look for small animals and plants in close proximity to the river, but discovered that there weren't any directly by it.

This meant he had to go back into the jungle which he was not that opposed to as nothing dangerous had come for him previously. He mainly looked at the ground to find animals or any living organism that could sustain him.

There turned out to be an abundance of relatively large bugs on the ground that, while unappealing looking, tasted quite good. Vulcan ate quite a lot of these, along with a few raspberries that were growing until he was full.

As it had been beginning to get dark when he had hatched out of his egg, the sky had begun to get dark which lead Vulcan to finding his third necessity to stay alive, shelter.

However, this was much easier as he thought. As once he had made sure there was nothing in the trees, Vulcan used his newfound climbing ability from his monkey-like body to reach a thick branch in the canopy that was well covered by leaves and other branches. He then gripped onto the tree and lay on it before inadvertently falling asleep.
