King Zhelang and Titan were on the first row while Jamiel followed behind Titan and then, the other soldiers.

Unlike other times, no one was smiling. Usually, when soldiers come back from a victorious war, there would even be a feast but this time around, they looked as though they were rather sad than happy.

"The king does not look happy with the warm welcome. Do you think that maybe the war isn't over and we were just fooled?" someone amongst the crowd asked in a low voice and another man answered.

"Sh... Don't say that, at least, not here. The walls have ears and all you should be grateful for is that you are still alive." he cautioned but the first man wouldn't stop talking.

"For how long? You never know if we would live to see the daylight tomorrow." he sighed and looked at the king quizzically.
