The World needs a hard worker, not Hero

Khush came into Shed after hearing about Aryah Fainting, He saw her sitting on the hay bail while one of the village girl was treating her.

"What the hell happened Aryah!"

"Oh I just lost my balance a little, anemia I guess" Aryah rolled her eyes.

"What are you talking about" He glared at Bekaar.

"Were you out of your mind?"

"Oh chill out, it was a mutual feeling look I got cuts too, and she also made me vomit the food too, I just have more endurance."

"She is right, Khush in order for us to get stronger we need to train, I was feeling that I could do better if the fight continued, I think the same thing happened with Samber too. "

"What Samber?" Khush looked toward him but he seems clueless about what she is talking about.

"Okay, I understand that you think we need to be prepared for those evil forces of the demon lord, but hear me out first, according to the village chief, the so-called demon lord was vanquished from this world one and a half century ago "

"What?/huh?/ what are you talking about/you joking bro?" Along with Aryah everyone started the barrage of questions on him.

"That is true we have a whole series of tales written on the fight between the Demon lord and his factions against the First heroes and the Resistance" the little girl excitedly involved in their discussion.

"Are you interested in them?"

"Yes, Where can I read them? " Meham looked at the Barmaid, she served Meham with few nice drinks since she saw him being close to Leah and Suchi. (Author Note: We are back to Meham pov in parallel to them)

"You will be able to read them only in the town library boy, but not everyone has the access to it" she leaned toward Meham, he felt a fluffy frill on her chest touching his hair which made Meham blushed.

"I…, I am sorry but I don't have money to pay you yet I only came for more information"

"It's fine dear I am a good judge of character, I am sure you will pay me back when you are able to" She smiled at him while patting his head.

'An angel, no Goddess!' Meham was deeply touched by her empathy, he started doing what he never did before, SMALL TALK.

"Thank you miss, I will definitely repay you, do you live here? "

"Well yes since this is my inn, haha"

"Oh right, did you born in this town?"

"No, I came here just to start the business"

He was not interested in her backstory still he continued for half an hour and stopped only when another customer showed up and she had to attend to him.

'Okay I have decided I am going to live here, Barbara(the Barmaid) is such a nice lady it will be fun to eat and drink every evening while talking to her, according to her emergers are living as part of civilians and living their life upto their desire, it's a pity that it's not the development as I expected but I can just take it easy here. '

The inn was almost empty and the fire stove from Kitchen warmed up the place just right, he felt at ease and he took a nap with no worry about the world.

Back in the shed after listening to that little girl for a bit they all stand up to continue their journey, they thanked the villager and head to their new destination.

"So we are going to a kingdom built on the graves of demon?" Aryah asked with a discusted face.

"I guess you can say that, but that is not our first destination, according to the chief, the emergers did not stop coming, and after few decades they starting to get so much in number than needed, they start to outnumber the dungeon capacity, since every emerger needed to earn their keep they had only option which was dungeon clearing and the monsters there were taken down faster than summoning"

"But why they get paid to kill monsters?" Annie asked.

"Resources! " Aryah replied confidently.

"That's right, apparently the dungeons are natural source of energy called mana that is producing rare minerals and giving birth to monsters made out of pure energy, the crystals are one of their most important part of their daily life and monster's fangs and pelts and core are used in crafting dail utilities or weapons and armors" Khush sound like a geek to others.

"That sounds complicated" Sambar scratching his hair.

"Wow that is a lot to take in, now it makes sense why there was no one to guide or even welcome us " Aryah felt annoyed.

"Okay so why are we heading to this Egress place? "

"Egress is the Kingdom founded by one of the first heroes group in order to make a place for aimless emergers, there are other places too but this one is closest"

"Wait, why are we going to this place" Bekaar asked, she sound against.

"We are not yet we have to make a little earning and meet with Aram and Meham first."

"Who cares about those idiots, I mean that why we have to live the old ways? "

"What do you mean why, because they have common understanding like us, we will be able to be part of the stable system like at home."

"WHO THE FUCK WANT THAT?" Bekaar shout, everyone stopped walking.

'I think I understand what she is on about' Aryah thought to herself, she looked at Khush he was shocked on her reaction

"It would be fine for you to get back to those old times because you were born for that rotten world, but I am not I will be living my way from now on"

'How melodramatic'

"I understand Bekaar we can discuss about it, I am sure that Khush is just suggesting instead of telling us to go there, we can see then decide." Aryah spoke up trying to calm Bekaar, Khush was just standing keeping his eyes low.

"You are right we can just do whatever we want I am going my own way if some one interested follow me. "

"Bekaar please don't, We can sort things out" Annie's voice was cracking.

"Why not? after all, thats what Meham did and deep down we all know that while you two are good at licking teacher's boot, he was the one who make things done"

"WHAT!" Aryah stepped toward Bekaar but Khush stopped her holding her arm, they saw Bekaar turning her back going for the fork in the track at front.

"Girl! I am coming with you" another girl who was Bekaar's friend followed her then tree more guys followed them, because at that moment they felt the chain of leadership in her that was lacking in Khush.

The rest silently looked at them as they get shorter and shorter in distance.

"Phew…, thank god that Ogre is gone" Kiz seems relieved.

"So there's only nine of us now." Mira seems depressed.

"Let's go…" Aryah continued on her path the rest followed her.

Here we see that when our group finds out that they may go back to living by the old world's way, we see the resistance that was killed back in the old world, mean if we think about it Bekaar and Meham's ideology is little similar, that is before they did not have any option other than follow the track decided for them before their birth, they felt a sense of freedom after coming here.
