Chapter 2 : New Life?

Zhang Feng saw his being get pulled into the gate and moved ahead on its own. It was like it was being guided by some mysterious force. He then saw millions, no, billions of light dots in the space. They were like stars floating in the starry sky. "Beautiful", exclaimed after seeing them. Zhang Feng, who had lived a monotonous life had never seen such a beautiful scene. " Just what are these dots? Hmm? They seem the blinking and flickering," said Zhang Feng. When Zhang Feng further carefully scrutinized these dots, he made a discovery. He found that these dots had numerous lines joining them. Some lines were faint and some were thick. Frequently there were new dots generated and some dots would get shut off like the life in them would be removed. Then the lines connecting those dots would also silently disappear. Sometimes some lines among some dots would get thicker and some would get thinner.

As Zhang Feng gazed ahead he saw a huge weighing scale floating in the void. There was a primordial aura in that scale like it had always been there since the ages, witnessing countless calamities, rise and fall of civilization. Zhang Feng made a bold guess that this place had something to do with Life and Death and Reincarnation. He saw a dot entering the huge scale and sitting on one of the two scales. And to Zhang Feng's shock, the scale tilted to either side. "That inconspicuous dot made such a huge change", said Zhang Feng. This made his guess sure that this was the place where people's sins and good deeds are scaled and these dots are the people. Those who are dead will be sent to the scale and the sinful ones will repent in hell while the virtuous ones will be sent to either heaven or get reincarnated without the past life's memories. As Zhang Feng was moving forward he saw another door. This door was decorated with mysterious, beautiful patterns.

Zhang Feng noticed that he was being pulled towards that door. He got extremely puzzled by this transition. He had noticed that all the dots were first weighed in the Life and Death scale before moving forward. But he wasn't such a case. " What the hell? Am I unique or something?" thought Zhang Feng. As he entered the huge door he saw a similar scene ahead of him. There were countless dots in this space too but the only difference was that there were no lines joining these dots. He saw himself getting pulled towards a dot. This dot seemed weak than the rest other dots. It was faint and flickering weakly. Zhang Feng saw himself getting sucked into that dot. Then everything turned black.

"Yue'er, are you feeling okay? Hold on, I will bring a blanket to hold Feng'er." Zhang Feng heard a voice say. "Yes, please do that Yuntian", Zhang Feng heard another voice say. He then heard the sound of footsteps receding from the room. After a while, the footsteps sounded again as someone entered the room. " Here, Doctor please use this to hold the baby."

"Oh, sure" Zhang Feng heard a. third voice say. This Zhang Feng interpreted that there were three people in the room. Zhang Feng opened his eyes and saw a beautiful woman holding him. She looked gentle and graceful as a fairy. He looked around to observe that another man was looking at him. The man was stalwart and had a majestic momentum around him. He looked handsome and domineering. His eyes were like starry skies and anyone who looked into them would easily get lost in them. There was a simple-looking lady near the bed wiping her hands. "Where...what is going on? Am I being reborn? " thought Zhang Feng. "Hahaha, the heaven has eyes I didn't go hell. Well, I didn't commit many sins in my past life and died for a noble cause. Are these my parents in this life? They are so beautiful. They could easily pass for an actor on Earth. Looking at them, I won't be much ugly in future too. And from their temperament, their background must be something extraordinary. Can I finally get some parental love in this life?" thought Zhang Feng.

"From now on you will be called as Qin Feng", Zhang Feng heard his father say. " Now let me have a look at his body. I hope the accident Yue'er suffered won't have much impact on his body.
