Magazine Secret

"My granddaughter can be quite a handful, I hope she isn't causing much trouble at work?" Her grandmother thoughtfully asked while dishing out a plate of peach pie to Xander as he took his seat at the dining table.

Anxi stared at her grandmother with wide eyes like someone who just got betrayed.

"Grandmother!"

"What? It's important I ask due to how forgetful you are this days."

Anxi dejectedly averted her gaze and quietly ate the sweet peach pie her grandmother made, arguing with her will only lead to her grandmother exposing more embarrassing things about her so keeping quiet was her best option.

Xander shook his head in response, she didn't cause him any trouble, he was the one who caused her trouble.

"She has actually been tolerable, you don't have to worry."

Anxi was instantly relieved by his response but watching him eat the piece of peach pie with a fork added to her sadness, he even got a bigger piece than her!

Does her grandmother like him that much? Besides, they just met!

Anxi could only watch as the two of them indulged themselves in a warm and friendly conversation, most times her name was dragged into the conversation to the point she felt like burying herself under the table as the discussion carried on.

She could swear Xander was doing everything on purpose and trying to instigate her further!!

"One time, Anxi got a magazine and that's where I recognized you from…."

Anxi's optics dilated in horror as her grandmother was about to expose something big.

Xander didn't understand clearly and met her gaze. "Magazine?"

"Yes, your pictures where everywhere and…."

"Grandmother! Switch topic please." She asked with pleading eyes but Xander was more interested in figuring out what the old lady was trying to say to him and which magazine she was talking about?

"No please continue."

Anxi flashed him a death glare while her grandmother happily continued.

"I'm not into magazines so I barely know the name, it had your pictures and most time Anxi gets engrossed in looking at it, I thought you were a top model at first until she told me you're her boss and I have to admit, you're a very fine young man."

Anxi's cheeks heated up in embarrassment, the red crimson color was clearly visible since she had a really pale skin, she's never felt like dying so bad as she did right now, infact if those goons had to come back and take her away, she would thank them.

Xander on the other hand was really taken aback, sure he has let a few model companies feature him with their newest brand in order to help them get buyers but isn't it just interesting that his little bunny actually daydreams about him.

For some reason it made him feel happy except he refused to express it to either of them.

Anxi covered her face with her palm in an attempt to hide the heat rushing to her cheeks, unable to deal with the embarrassment settling in as she instantly got to her feet.

"I...I want to use the bathroom." Without waiting for her grandmother's response, she hurried straight to her room while her grandmother snickered at her attempt to flee from the dining room.

Poor Anxi, she had no idea her grandmother revealed it on purpose.

She ran straight to her room like someone who was being chased, closing the door behind her as she buried her face in her pillow while kicking at the bed she laid on.

"Ahhhh!!!!!" She screamed into the pillow in order to vent her frustration.

Why did this have to happen to her and she wasn't really staring at those magazines because of Xander, is it wrong to actually see new brands?

Even if she couldn't afford it yet she could at least see them right??

At the dining table, while Xander was waiting for his little bunny to return, Anxi's grandmother handed him a piece of peach pie on a plate.

"Can you help me get it to Anxi, I would have done it myself but I have to tidy up this place and I doubt that shy being is going to come downstairs for the rest of tonight."

Xander's crystal black optics sparkled, he enjoyed running this type of errands as he took the peach pie from her. "Of course grandmother."

He got to his feet and remembered exactly the route his little bunny took. It was actually easy to locate her room since it wasn't a big house.

Anxi's grandmother smiled in satisfaction as she watched him head to Anxi's room. She liked Xander and his personality was even more interesting, she could already tell how Xander and her granddaughter would make such perfect couples.

Anxi still had her small face buried on the pillow when she heard a knock, it certainly couldn't be anyone but her grandmother wanting to lure her back down the stairs.

She let out a deep breath before getting up to her feet, going to open the door but her eyes widened as Xander's face came in view instead.

"It's you!!"
