Chapter 28 Explorers Guild(6)

'Fuck.' Alex's mouth twitched when he saw the message pop up on his phone. Alex was extremely curious about what this Nightshade flowers were that his [Quest] wanted him to find but all his excitement was drowned by a bucket of cold water. In the end all Alex could do was sigh in frustration and wait. With that said Alex didn't want to wait long so he went into the Explorer Guild app and clicked on the <Quest> tab. To increase his rank to E rank the requirements were simple. He needed to complete at least 5 quests, which due to him being low ranked had to be done with party members, fight an E ranked monster ot beast under the observation of guild personnel and lastly and probably the most difficult of all he had to battle an E ranked explorer. Battling a human sounded easy but Alex knew better. Unlike beasts and monsters humans can think clearly, analyze battle techniques and counter them.

Anyway after scrolling through the <Quest> tab for around an three hours, Alex found five quests close to Mountmend that he could do and most importantly profitable that he could do.

The first one is a request to conquer a dungeon named [Goblin Den]. According to the information given by the guild about the dungeon, it is populated by short, ugly, green skinned humanoids(he got that description from an image) called goblins. These creatures were F ranked but a bigger more evolved version called hobgoblin was living inside the dungeon as well but they were a lot less than the goblins. There were also mana beasts living in the dungeon but they weren't a major concern since monsters were often times than not stronger than beasts of the same rank.

The second quest was a request from an alchemist to get a herb 'Snowgrass' that can be found in the [Icy Plain] dungeon. This dungeon was mostly inhabited by beasts such as snow bears or snow leopards but there were a few monsters here and there. The alchemist wanted 100 of these Snowgrasses and would pay extra for any extra ones collected.

The third quest was to mine a rank F ore called 'Red bronze'. These found in the [Rocky Mountains] dungeons populated by beasts with hard exoskeletons and mountain troll. They were tall, brown skinned humanoids that were were able to comaflauge with the mountain rocks and possessed great strength and a formidable defense. The blacksmith who issued the quest wants 200kg of Red bronze.

The fourth quest was also a mining quest but this one was to be taken place in the [Crystal Cave] dungeon and instead of Red bronze he'll be mining azure crystals. These Crystal's are found on the backs an F ranked beast called crystal beetle. The quest stated that 100 kg of these Crystal's although they are offering a bonus for any crystals from the E ranked Greater crystal beetle.

The final quest was to retrieve the scales of a F ranked beast called salamanders. These are reptilian beasts that lived in the [Lava Pit] dungeon. The quest needs 30 of them to be completed.

All F ranked quests didn't really have a time limit and the collection quests were always ongoing since the contractors needed a constant supply of the different ores, monster materials and other stuff needed to be collected so Alex didn't have to worry about those. The one that Alex had to worry about was the first one that had a thirty party members limit and he barely managed to snag the last spot and the party was leaving in two days so he still had some time to prepare.

'Time to do some shopping.' Alex said with excitement gleaming in his eyes.
