Chapter 128 First Subordinate

The shadow continued circling around Alex at a very fast speed making it hard for him to track it with his [Shadow Sense]. The shadow suddenly stopped and Alex could feel it's gaze on him like a predator searching searching for it's preys weakness. Alex sent a [Mana Slash] towards the shadow and it quickly shifted and glided across the ground towards Alex. Alex sensed the shadow coming towards him using the shadows of the surrounding trees as cover and no matter how he looked he couldn't see anything moving towards him. The Shadow lunged out of the shadow of a nearby tree towards Alex and he saw the figure of a black wolf heading towards him. He slashed his sword forward towards the beast's head but suddenly, it's body shifted and it turned into a formless shadow and dodged Alex's blade taking him by surprise.

The creature transformed back into a wolf and lunged at Alex and he quickly used [Shadow Swim] to escape.
