Chapter 238: Buddha

Mira said "Oh? What's so special about me?" Meixiu said "You could teleport into the city even though I was preventing that, that in and of itself is special. You're looking for Daisuke who is a very unique fighter. And also because my instincts tell me you're different"

Mira said "Ok, but I'm not the one that made the ring, I can connect you to the person who did though". Meixiu said "That would be helpful". Mira thought 'More than half the things that made me special are because of Jade. Once again, I'm still in his shadow'.

Mira completed the registration and was taken by Meixiu to an empty area where a man was waiting. Meixiu pointed toward the man and said "That's Feng". She walked away and distance warped making her disappear into the distance.

Mira turned to the man and walked toward him. She reduced her size with the space ring until she was back to the size of a normal human. When she got close enough she noticed his face was also on one of the coins and her IP identified the man as a [Rank 23 Divine Human: Buddha].

Mira confirmed the race grade of the person as a Celestial grade. She thought 'A Celestial grade human race, crazy! Gbenga was quite powerful considering he could handle Camille. I wonder how good this guy is?'

The Chinese man had a handsome and gentle face. His black hair was tied in a long pony tail that reached the back of his chest. He didn't have bulging muscles or extraordinary height. He wore a pair of black trousers and a blue shirt under a black leather jacket. Everything about him spoke normal except his long ear lobes that reached the bottom of his chin. There golden ear rings in the shape of sunflowers at the end of his ear lobe.

Mira said with a psychic message "You're Feng right?" The man nodded and said "What's your name?" Mira said "I'm Mira". Feng asked "Martial artist or Magician or both?"

Mira answered "Martial artist". Feng said "This is not a spar like Meixiu may have told you; for me it's more of a lesson that I'm giving to you. Although if you're strong enough to make it a spar then good on you. This lesson is to ensure that everybody in the competition is fighting properly. Those who get it early are people that I, Meixiu, Shan or Yu think are most likely to win".

Mira said "You say fighting properly like there is just a few ways to fight well". Feng smiled softly and said "True, there are no certain ways to fight. The question is can your fighting style turn the lesson on proper combat that I'm about to give to you to an actual spar where I at least try to win?" Mira said "There's only one way to find out". Feng's smile widened and he said "Indeed".

Mira's hair turned white as she activated Lightning Countenance. Her black diamonds merged with her skin and they seemed to disappear for a moment but she sensed they were going somewhere. Her senses followed them and she found herself in her soul realm.

The place was a metal landscape with few plants defiantly growing out of the metal ground. Above her was a bright sun, it was where the diamonds were going into. The black diamonds came out of the sun shining with white light that separated into different colors the further the light went.

Mira wanted to explore the place first but she had a fight, she expanded her energy zone and condensed the space in it. The ground melted as she was covered in the searing hot shining diamonds. Her mind calmed as she entered Sage Trance.

She used Predator's Prey to check the details of Feng's race which alerted him since she within 270 miles of him. Feng smiled and used Predator's Prey to check her race details too.

Mira was shocked when her IP showed [A Predator that is within 230 miles has set its sights on you. Be wary!] She said "You're a Predator too?" Feng nodded and said "Yes, this is quite interesting. I never thought I would meet someone with the same job".

Mira said "Me too". Unlike Camille, Feng was a big deal when it came to Celestial grade races. He had two more stats than a Mythical grade, he had the Wisdom stat and the Power stat. Two stats Mira knew nothing about since Jade didn't let her read his own race description.

His race also came with a Soul Glyph; which again, Mira knew nothing about. The race gave the Soul Glyph called Nirvana. Holy aura began to emit from Feng making him seem like an entity that should be worshiped and adored, a being that nothing could reach.

Feng said "Attack". The ground was completely liquid at this point so Mira sharply flew towards Feng who seemed to still be reading her race description. A blast of energy shot from her hand toward Feng.

Feng did nothing to protect himself from the blast and it hit him. But he remained unmoving. The blast wasn't just attacking him on a physical level, it was attacking his soul and mind but both of them seemed to be ungraspable. It was like the soul she was attacking was just air, like it didn't exist.

In the physical though, Feng was an unmoving bolder. He floated in place even though the energy that had mixed with space was supposed to push him away even if it did no damage.

Mira stopped the attack when she saw it had no effect on him. Feng smiled and said "As expected, you can also attack the soul and you have contingencies against basic, space, time and reality manipulation".

Mira raised and eye brow and asked "How do you know about that?" He just spurted something that she thought only Jade knew about. He said "Well that's because I also thought my friends and those I've trained how to guard against such. Controlling those things came naturally to me. I am Buddha you know?"

Mira thought 'Damn! The race you get is a major advantage'. Feng said "Continue". Mira's figure turned fiery as white flames of Drive covered her. They were an advance application of stamina.

Seeing this Feng had a disapproving look on his face. Mira shot another beam toward him, this one with way more power… Alas Feng endured it without suffering any damage.

Feng said "You can do a close range attack you know? I won't attack you. I told you, this isn't a spar for me". Mira gritted her teeth and blasted herself toward Feng before throwing a diamond covered punch.

"BOOM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

As she expected, there was no effect. The amount of damage she even caused the environment was less that with her beams. Mira punched, scratched, kicked and shot beams at close range but they had no effect.

Feng raised his hand, gesturing for her to stop. He snapped his fingers and the plasma bolts in the air disappeared returning the place back to its previous silence.

He said "The person who taught you did a terrible job".
