Chapter 108: Updates 1

Mira went toward the location where she was supposed to meet Jade as she listened to Jade's psychic message, which was similar to Bella's, telling her where to go. He said 'Go to the 8th building on your right. There are people following you'.

Mira said 'I figured they would do that' Jade said 'Are they that intrusive around you?' Mira said 'No, they are just desperate for strength and you are a very attractive source of it'. Jade said 'We'll talk about this later'

Mira entered the building Jade told her to go to, when she entered the watchers lost sight of her for a moment then they changed the angle they were spying on her from but found nothing. They went into the building and found no conclusive evidence, Mira's footsteps just stopped at where they last saw her.

When Mira enter the building Jade had teleported her away from the area where the watchers were to where he was watching from. Jade said "Yo, long time no see"

Mira smiled, hugged Jade and said "Long time, you've gotten way better" Jade said "Of course! I see you still have such a pathetic energy zone. And look at your strength; you haven't even improved at all"

Mira smiled at Jade's nostalgic trolling and said "You really are still such a troll. As expected of the Primordial Troll race" Jade laughed at her retort and said "We better get out of here before they find us" and teleported himself and Mira all the way back towards Abuja.

They arrived at what used to be Banu city and Mira reminisced about the old times. Jade said "Let's get down to business; so who is the Rank of the person you think is stronger than me?"

Mira asked him "What's your Rank?" Jade said smugly "Rank 11! Funny how I've gone 4 Ranks up and you have only gone 2 Ranks up. And one would think the stronger ones grow slower, my talent must be very unique I'm sure no one can match me" Mira laughed, she thought 'I can't believe this sort of thing would have annoyed me before, I've really grown up' and she said "You're behind". Jade's face fell and he said "Impossible! How?! Who?!"

Mira laughed at his agony, seeing it was very refreshing and said "Let me tell you the list of details I have and you can decide how much you think they are worth". Jade nodded at the proposal and Mira said "I have information on one person who is a higher Rank than you

The price of the sword you gave me and how it dropped,

The improvement of the settlement I was in, how fast it happened and the details of how it happened.,

The state of the other settlements in Lagos; their advancement and numbers,

The details of the skills that have been developed by the settlement,

First hand information on 2 of those skills,

And a special group of undead that I encountered.

What I primarily want is space technology and if it's still possible, new armor and weapons"

Jade thought and said "Hoh? I didn't think you would be bold enough to ask for spatial tech but whether I give it to you depends on the importance of the information"

Mira thought and said "We'll see as it goes. So do you want everything?" Jade nodded and Mira said "The person who is higher Rank than you is called Lara"

Jade thought on the name but couldn't remember anyone notable with such a name. Mira continued "She is a Rank 12 Origin Meta Human" Jade said "Rank 12! She's no small fry. She seems to have an Ancient grade race judging from her name"

Mira continued "When I fought her she seemed to have weird unexplainable powers but after I saw her subordinates fight I realized they shared the same powers as she did. Her subordinates were the Meta Humans you were so cautious about and they ranged from Rank 7 to Rank 6. The other member of the city were not below Rank 4"

Jade pondered 'How did she create a sub race? Is it possible she used Conqueror's spawn?' Mira continued "The powers she showed during our spar were: The ability to create invisible walls, the ability to increase her physical strength and the ability to make clones of herself. I saw one of her subordinates use the cloning ability, it was very formidable, the clones were just as powerful as the original, the subordinate that used that ability was a Rank 7. He could create hundreds of copies of himself all with the same stat and all of them possessing energy zones as large as his own"

Jade nodded and thought 'The ability probably uses Biomass, but since High Humans don't have that stat it might look broken for the person to be able to do that… the Meta Human race, they seem badass'

Mira continued "There was also another subordinate that could transform into a phoenix that was the only thing I saw her transform to. I fought a subordinate of hers that could change his stats by weakening some stats to improve others. He was a Rank 6"

Jade thought 'That would synergize so well with the Knight's privileges. If that person gets to Rank 7 he will be quite a pain in the ass to fight'. Mira concluded "The only other thing I gleamed was that they all seemed to refer to Lara as their mother".

Mira gave Jade the other information; how the sanctuary had reacted when they saw her and the capabilities of Flash Thunder, how the technology of Flash Thunder had been copied and how it had greatly improved the sanctuary's power and standing among the Lagos settlements and that only the psychic technology was impossible for the sanctuary to replicate.

She told him about how the sanctuary had developed due to the technology of the katana; the high Ranks, at that time, which could use energy had jumped on the new technology. She told him about the state of the other sanctuaries and what happened during the Lagos Settlement Meeting.

She told him about the skills that were developed in the sanctuary: Her new skill which she hadn't named, Karma is a Bitch, Aura manipulation, High Mind, Martial Arts and Magic. Jade's eyes lit up as he heard the details of the skills especially Magic and Martial Arts.
