Chapter 52: First Kiss

Miaomiao woke up early, her excitement evident as she sat up in bed and kicked away the blankets covering her. Today was the day of her date with Ye Bai, and she couldn't wait.

Ye Bai had suggested they meet at the mall, buy some clothes, and then head to a play zone. They would decide on any other activities spontaneously. Miaomiao stood up and opened her wardrobe, scanning through her clothes to find the perfect outfit.

Frowning slightly, she realized that most of her clothes had a boyish look, and the few feminine options were too short for her liking. After a moment's hesitation, she settled on a red jumper and a white T-shirt. It wasn't exactly what she had in mind, but it would have to do for today's date.

Meanwhile, Ye Bai had returned from his morning jog, feeling refreshed and eager for their date. As he showered off his sweat, he thought about the fun they would have together.

Walking over to his wardrobe, he selected a white shirt and decided to wear his black-rimmed glasses for a sophisticated touch. Glancing at himself in the mirror, he couldn't help but smile at his reflection.

"Wow, my son is so handsome," Wu Qian's voice suddenly sounded from the doorway.

Turning around, Ye Bai saw his mother standing there. "Well, of course, I inherited it from your genes," he joked.

"Off to your date with Miaomiao?" Wu Qian asked with curiosity.

"Yes, we're going to hang out for a bit," Ye Bai replied, grabbing his phone. "Okay, Mom, I've got to go," he said, giving her a quick hug before heading out to meet Miaomiao.

"Take care, and make sure to take care of Miaomiao, or else you'll have me to deal with," Wu Qian warned playfully.

"Don't worry, Mom, I'll take good care of Miaomiao," Ye Bai assured her before heading out to meet Miaomiao.

Ye Bai stood by the entrance, eagerly awaiting Lin Miaomiao's arrival. As he scanned the bustling crowd, his eyes soon fell upon her – a girl dressed in a vibrant red jumper paired with a crisp white shirt. A wide smile adorned her face as she waved enthusiastically at him.

Seeing Lin Miaomiao's lively figure, running and smiling silly, Ye Bai couldn't help but chuckle.

"Stop running," Ye Bai called out, raising his hand to signal her to slow down. But instead of heeding his advice, Lin Miaomiao sped up, playfully darting around as if she were dancing.

Lin Miaomiao playfully slid to the floor, and before she could react, Ye Bai caught her in a warm embrace. Lin Miaomiao giggled, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "Did you see that? I slid all the way to you!"

"Yeah, that was pretty impressive," Ye Bai chuckled, unable to suppress his amusement at Lin Miaomiao's playful antics. Despite her childish behavior, he couldn't help but find her endearing.

Reluctantly releasing Lin Miaomiao from his embrace, Ye Bai suggested, "Let's grab some snacks before we explore the mall."

Eager to explore the mall together, Lin Miaomiao nodded enthusiastically. But before she could take a step, Ye Bai reached out and gently took her hand in his own.

"Let's hold hands," Ye Bai said, flashing her a warm smile.

"Look, Ye Bai, it's Hello Kitty! I have to try and get it!" she exclaimed, her enthusiasm contagious.

Ye Bai chuckled at her excitement and nodded in agreement. "Go for it, Miaomiao! I'll cheer you on," he said, his eyes twinkling with amusement.

Lin Miaomiao inserted a coin into the machine and focused intently as she maneuvered the claw over the Hello Kitty toy. With a deep breath, she pressed the button, willing the claw to pick up the prize.

However, despite her best efforts, each attempt ended in disappointment as the claw failed to secure the prize. Frustration began to creep in as Lin Miaomiao tried again and again without success.

"Let me try," Ye Bai said, stepping forward confidently. Drawing on his photographic memory and keen observation skills, he carefully analyzed the machine's movements.

Lin Miaomiao watched with bated breath as Ye Bai took control of the joystick. With a skillful hand, he guided the claw towards the Hello Kitty, his movements smooth and precise.

"Come here Xiaobai" she pulled Ye Bai beside her, "Say cheese!" she called out, pressing the shutter button.

They strolled hand in hand through the bustling mall, Ye Bai and Lin Miaomiao couldn't resist the tempting aroma of various snacks wafting through the air. Lin Miaomiao's eyes lit up like a child in a candy store as she spotted the colorful array of treats.

"Wow, look at all these snacks, Ye Bai! I want to try them all!" she exclaimed, tugging on Ye Bai's hand excitedly.

Ye Bai chuckled at her enthusiasm. "Alright, let's be snack adventurers again!" he declared with a grin, following Lin Miaomiao to the nearest snack stall. Lin Miaomiao's eyes sparkled with excitement as she grabbed hold of three different snacks.

"Here, let me help," Ye Bai offered with a smile, taking some of the snacks from her hands and holding them for her.

Lin Miaomiao's gaze drifted toward the towering Ferris wheel in the distance. "Ye Bai, let's ride that!" she suggested, pointing excitedly at the giant wheel.

Ye Bai glanced up at the Ferris wheel and smiled. "Sure thing, but let's find a spot to sit and finish our snacks first," he replied, leading Lin Miaomiao to a nearby bench.

Sitting down together, Lin Miaomiao eagerly devoured her snacks, savoring each bite with delight. As the sun began to set, casting a warm glow over the mall, Lin Miaomiao's eyes sparkled with anticipation for their Ferris wheel ride.

With their snacks finished, Ye Bai took Lin Miaomiao's hand, a smile playing on his lips. "Ready to ride the Ferris wheel and enjoy the sunset view?" he asked.

Ye Bai leaned in closer, his heart beating rapidly. He held Lin Miaomiao's chin and slowly lifted it. As Lin Miaomiao looked up, Ye Bai leaned slowly and pressed his lips against hers.

Lin Miaomiao's eyes widened. She was surprised; this was her first kiss, even though she didn't know how it was done. She instinctively closed her eyes and tightened her grip on Ye Bai's hand. Lin Miaomiao melted away at the kiss, and her heart felt warmth at this moment.

At this time, the world seemed to stop spinning. When they finally pulled away, breathless and dazed, they realized that the Ferris Wheel was nearing its end.

Lin Miaomiao glanced at Ye Bai; her cheeks were blushing as she shyly looked down. Ye Bai lifted her chin once more, pressing a quick peck to her lips. "I love you, it's so addicting," he whispered lovingly.

"I love you too," Lin Miaomiao murmured in reply, her heart overflowing with emotion.

"Let's take a photo before we leave," Ye Bai suggested.

With a smile, Ye Bai raised his phone, ready to capture a lasting memory of their unforgettable moment together. "Say cheese," he said, just as he snapped the photo. Lin Miaomiao surprised him with a sweet kiss on the cheek.
