176 Fighting the demon bully

She sensed that someone was behind her so she looked around suspiciously. But, the road was deserted despite the bright sunny day. Maybe, all the residents were out to work or school.

After peeking around once, she shrugged and began following the GPS again. It led her through a narrow lane, as a short cut because she was on foot. The lane was littered with trashcans and abandoned vehicles. Feeling a bit restless, she thought of looking at some other route. But, the other road was a big U-turn and it would take her around 20 more minutes to reach there.

Letting out an exasperated sigh, she began walking through the lane. The winds were blowing and once or twice the lid of the empty trash can banged against the wall, scaring her a bit.
