Sweet-talker

Luciana sat on the floor, leaning back on Cardan's bed as she glanced at the starry sky through the windows.

Her hazy eyes looked into nothingness, her body shivered as she slowly moved.

She hugged her knees. Gradually, her eyes started drooping slowly but suddenly she felt someone's presence around her.

Luciana sat up straight, immediately on guard as she looked up and found four shadows hovering around her. They were shapeless, faceless but their auras suffocated her. Her chest heaved as she tried to catch her breath.

''Who are you?" Luciana raised her hand with utmost difficulty to use her powers but her body did not budge as more and more shadows appeared in the place, towering over her.

Luciana moved back to Cardan's bed, pressing her back harder against it till her back turned numb.
