Aura

In front of the Cullens house, you could see Damon and Rosalie sitting in his car as he had just pulled up in front of their home to drop Rosalie off after finishing their date.

"Remember what I said?"

"Yeah, don't worry," she says to Damon as she leans over and kisses him on the cheek, then she gets out of the car and walks to the door, and enters as she has a lot on her mind.

' I can't believe there is a possibility I might be able to have kids of my own and raise them, this is a dream come through the only thing is I can't tell my family yet, I know they are suspicious of Damon and if the feeling I getting from the bond is anything to go by he doesn't like them either, I will have to do something about this, if this was before I had a mate bond with Damon Edward would just read my mind, but since the day we meet Edward hasn't been able to read my mind again, but I just can't stop thinking about the information Damon gave me.'

Flashback starts

"Aura?" asks Rosalie

"What does this have to do with aura?" Asks Rosalie gesturing to her shining body

"Well everything, I don't know how much you know about how vampires acquire gifts upon being turned, but Carlisle should have told you what he knows."

"He did, he said that all gifts granted to the vampires who acquire them after being turned all use aura as a means to make it happen and that the mate also uses aura to find a suitable partner for the person, but that was all he knew."

"Well that far from all, Aura in simple terms in your life or life force, no living thing existing in the world does not have Aura and mo truly dead being has it, meaning in simple terms you are not truly dead since you have Aura."

"..."

Seeing Rosalie so shocked he continued knowing she would still be listening

"Look at it like this to become a vampire you have to survive the bite meaning you are still alive and not some undead being, what has happened to your body is some kind of transformation that is most likely incomplete."

"What do mean my transformation is incomplete?" Asks Rosalie

"Simply put, vampires, are just an advancement of humans made by witches who somehow gained the ability to manipulate Aura." Answers Damon

"That still doesn't tell me how the transformation is incomplete."

"Well, simply put vampires currently have many shortcomings that should not be left in an advancement created by witches who were well known to be perfectionists, the only explanations I came come up with was they were unable to control the amount of aura they needed to carry the original vampire to a complete transformation, or the first vampire was a complete being in their eyes but it was unable to turn others into a prefect vampire like him or herself and the witches could not either thus leading to the creation of today's vampires, and hence me saying your transformation is incomplete."

"...." Rosalie just stare at him unable to refute him or agree with his thoughts on the matter as both explanations Damon offered were hard to accept.

"let's just say what you're saying is true, how am I changing from being around you."

"That is also simple to explain, let say a baby is born with one unit of aura from a scale of 1 to 10 unit of aura and at adulthood, they would have anyway from 6 to 10 depending on illness lifestyle and whatever other factor, you would have about 60 and I would have at least 8000 or more, and for further argument, sake say a prefect vampire would have 500, normally there would be no way for a vampire to complete it's transformation as they would not be able to absorb or control aura and even if they had the ability to, adding aura to your body that is not compatible with your own would kill you."

"But, using the mate bond you already have someone you are compatible with, but vampire can't control their aura to absorb from their mate and even if they could would they as absorbing their mate's Aura would certainly kill their mate, but because I have so much and it's leaking out of my body when you're close to me it goes into yours and merges with your own, it a slow process but when it finishes and you become a perfect vampire all of the shortcomings you have now will be no more, meaning your body will function normally giving you the opportunity to have kids if we want."

"Is this dangerous or harmful to you?" Rosalie asks as she now grabs Damon's face forcing him to look her in the eyes as he answers.

"No, it's not, as I said the amount you need to complete your transformation is negligible to the amount that I have, and any that merges with you will just be regenerated so I won't get weaker or anything."

"Okay."

"Do you know how long it would take?" asked Rosalie

"I have no idea, to be honest, it could be days or years, but there is no need to rush after all neither of us is going anywhere."

"Let's stop talking about this for now and just enjoy each other company."

"Sure."

After that Damon and Rosalie spent the rest of the evening talking and learning things about each other, as she was snuggled up in his arms and as the night came in and darkness replaced the sunlight they decided it was time for things to end as they made their way back to the car and headed to the Cullens house.
