Chapter 8 - ANYONE COULD BE a GOOD FRIEND (4)

It was the weekend! It's time spent with family, friends, or with oneself. Juliet wasn't at ease getting out of her bed. She was rolling on the bed from side to side. Lite music was on and dim lights were making the whole house cool.

Juliet opened her eyes gently, she picked up her phone, and called her mom.

Juliet: "Good morning mom, how are you and dad?"

Her Mom: "We're all fine my dear. How are you doing?"

Juliet: "I'm fine mom. I want to inform you that I'm not coming home."

Her Mom: "Why? Hope you're good?"

Juliet: "Yes, mom. I need some work to do."

Her mom: "Alright dear, take good care of yourself. I'll tell your dad about it when he comes in."

Juliet: "Alright mom." (She hung the call)

(She was on the bed when the doorbell rang)

Juliet: "Who could that be? Is too early for someone to be doing that!" (She gets up and walked towards the door). She opened the door and no one is there. She looked around and found a note and flowers.

Juliet: "It's not my birthday yet, who sent a note and flowers?" (She was stunned).

She opened the note. It was written in the note, "Hey pretty, trust the day is good as you are? It's a pleasure to know you(though we're yet to be close as friends). I admire you as a hardworking lady and I won't mind being a good friend. Please!"

( Juliet lay on the bed thinking who could that be)

Juliet: "Who could this be?" I hope is not that jobless guy. If he's the one, I won't take it likely with him!"

(The doorbell ranged again)

Juliet: Grrr..." Who is that?" (She ran this to catch up with the person). She opened the door in a rush.

Zoe: (Shocked), "Why are you panting like you're chasing a thief?"

Juliet looked around to see if the person has hidden another flower and a note.

Zoe: "What is wrong with you?" (She pushed her aside to enter the house)

Juliet: "Zoe, good morning."

Zoe: "What's good about the morning when you're there acting? Why are you looking around like that?"

(As she was talking she sighted flowers on the floor)

Zoe: Smiling... "Who sent your flowers and a note?"

Juliet: "That's why I was looking around. Someone came to drop it off this morning."

Zoe: "Who?"

Juliet: "That's what I'm thinking off when you ring the doorbell."

Zoe: "Who did you suspect since there is no name on the note?"

Juliet: "That jobless man, Robert, or what did he call his name?"

Zoe: "Mr. Robinson?"

Juliet: "Yes, I suspected him!"

Zoe: "Juliet, there is nothing wrong with the note. I think the person just wants to be a friend."

Juliet: "Oh, please! I don't want to keep a male friend."

Zoe: "Why?"

Juliet: "I don't have time for this today! I want to rest, please."

(She packed the flowers and the note and dropped them inside the bin)

Zoe: "You need counseling! You are always angry unnecessarily.

Juliet: " Thank you!" Are you going or you talk about something else?"

Zoe: "Serve me food!"

(They both laughed and switch to another topic).
