Chapter 155

RATE AND REVIEW

I walked from employee to employee, staring into their eyes to see whose eyes I could see fear in. I walked by them and spoke in a cold tone.

" Yesterday, one of you was locked in the bathroom for more than six hours by one of you and it resulted in some damages as that person lost her life today due to the fact that she was claustrophobic. I want to know who did something so inhumane" I said and stared at them.

They all mumbled to their selves and I tried to listen to their mumblings but I couldn't hear what they were saying.

" Silence" I ordered as j stared at them in the most threatening way I could. " Who locked someone in the restroom?" I asked and I could see fear in their eyes.

" Sir, ask Melanie. I saw her going towards the restroom" one of the employees said.

" Me?" The employee I assumed to be Melanie spoke in denial.

" So are you trying to say you didn't go to the restroom?" An employee accused.

" I did but......"

" You see, you're the reason we lost an employee today" 

" I didn't do anything Rose. Stop accusing me" Melanie said.

" Come on Melanie. Admit it. You locked Maya in the restroom and stained her cheque with ketchup" Rose said and I became alarmed.

" How did you know it was Maya I was referring to and how did you know she had a cheque?" I asked.

Rose gulped, she knew she'd messed up and she had to think of a quick way to get out of the situation.

" Answer me, how did you know I was referring to Maya?" Raymond asked.

" I just knew it. Who else would it be about? Everyone here knows that you're having an affair with her so don't even try to deny it" rose said and Raymond stared in shock.

" I didn't hear you right. What did you just say?" He asked again, trying to make sure he heard right.

" Yes. I don't care if I get fired or anything. You were having an affair with Maya so you gave her a cheque of half a million which is why I locked her in the restroom" Rose said without remorse.

" So you did lock Maya in the restroom? " He asked.

" Yes I did because you were having an affair with your employee" she accused.

" Rose!!! " Maya yelled before slapping her across the face. " How dare you lay such filthy accusations against me? You should look at yourself before you accuse others. You locked me in the restroom even though you knew I was claustrophobic and you stained my cheque with ketchup when you knew I needed the money. Why? " She asked

" Because I hate you. I hate you Maya and I wish you actually died." Rose said, hatred evident in her voice.

" What have I ever done to you that you'd wish me dead? What?!!!! "

" You haven't done anything to me. I just hate you because you're annoying. Going around with a smile on your face,...... Stealing men like a whore" Rose said and spat.

" Rose!!! " A slap landed across Rose's face.

" It's true. You stole my boyfriend from me with that stupid smile of yours and I managed to get over it but stealing Mr Raymond... I'd never forgive you for it" Rose said.

" I didn't steal anybody" Maya yelled.

" Yes you did. Why else would he give a cheque worth half a million? " Rose asked.

" Out of pity! " Maya yelled " he gave me that cheque because he knew what I was going through" she said in tears.

" Pity? Do you think I'm a fool? What boss gifts a beautiful employee of his a cheque worth half a million just because he pitied her? I'm not a fool. You're both having an affair and I have proof of it" Rose said and took out her phone.

" What proof? " Melanie asked.

" Look at this" Rose said and showed them a picture of Maya and Raymond in a time square kiss position.

" Seriously? You call this proof? He only broke my fall and that's it" Maya said and mumblings could be heard among the employees.

" Silence!! ' Raymond yelled and walked to them " I don't have affairs with my employees. Rose, you're fired. Pack your things and leave but don't worry, you'll pay me one million for the cheque you destroyed" he said and left.

The next few days were very amazing. It was as easy going as it could be and Raymond's relationship with Trish only became better.

 Raymond laid on his bed as he video called Trish.

" So will you be coming tomorrow? " She asked.

" I don't know sweetheart. I've been very busy these past few days but don't worry, I'll take you out" he promised.

" That's what you've been saying for weeks. When will you take me out? " She pouted.

" Don't worry, I'll take you out soon alright? " 

" Fine" Trish said and they conversed longer.

" Trish? " Leonard called as he walked into Trish's room .

" Dad, come see Raymond. He's been asking of you for a while now" Trish said and showed Leonard to the camera.

" Hey there bro" Leonard greeted.

" Hey there, how are you? " Raymond asked with a smile.

" I'm fine. I guess you forgot all about me" Leonard accused playfully.

" I didn't, just that I've been busy with work. So tell me, how are things with you? " Raymond asked

" I'm fine" Leonard said and just like that, they forgot about Trish. They were so engrossed in their conversation that they didn't know when Trish left the room to her mum's room.

" Alright then, I'll make sure to ask after you every day alright?" Raymond asked with a chuckle following the question.

" Alright then, goodbye"  Leonard said and with that, they hung up.

Raymond sighed, " they're just so fun to be with" he muttered to himself before getting off the bed.

" Please mummy, please. You promised" Liv said as she pulled Becks up.

" I know, just let me finish listening to this song I wrote so I can make sure it's fine" Becks said and went back to her laptop.

" Did you write another song?" Trish asked.

" Yes. Wanna listen?" Becks asked.

" You bet we do" Liv said and they both sat on the bed.

" I'll play it then but you know what? '' Becks asked.

" What? " They both chorused

" I dedicated this song to my two most favorite people in the whole wide world" she said with a smile on her face.

" Who are they mummy? "

" You two of course" Becks said and embraced them.

" Awww" they said and hugged her back.

" Come on, listen to it" Becks said and put on the song.

" You like it?" Becks asked.

" Like? We love it. It's the best" Liv said and Becks smiled.
