The investigation continues

Penelope was reading the final report of the execution of the cupid order, in all the interstellar fleet more than five thousand soldiers had been detained, for many it would be the symbol of success, but the intelligence officer was not satisfied.

In the various searches and operations on land, three thousand two hundred bodies had been detected, less than a hundred dead longer than the time the war had been active, another two hundred from the beginning of the war until four months ago, and the bulk until three thousand in the last few months.

Although there could be more corpses buried on the three planets, they could not assume that those were the final numbers of the infiltration. On the other hand, of all the detained soldiers, Penelope knew that more than half were innocent, they simply matched the profile and parameters set.
