EPILOGUE: EPILOGUE

                               * * *

Many hours passed and the sun had long set, with the moon taking its position and shining brightly above the large, bustling city, whose different lights glowed brightly.

Walking away from the large window after drawing the curtains, Vivian sat on the bed in her pajamas and glanced down at her phone again.

She dropped it on the bedside table with another sigh, then lay down and stared blankly at the ceiling.

Some minutes went by before she could finally get some sleep, after tossing and turning on the bed for a long time.

              And later that night,

Vivian woke up with a start at the sound of an ear-shattering sound from a distance.

'Oh my God.' She jerked up on the bed as the rumbling sound of thunder came again, her heart thumping rapidly.

Glancing around the dimly lit room with both hands splayed on her chest, she sighed heavily as she could hear the sound of the heavy downpour from outside.

After calming her heartbeat, she was about to get down from the bed then her head snapped in the bathroom direction.

"Hehe, beauty, can't sleep?"Matt chuckled after walking out of the bathroom with a towel in his hands.

He glanced at the girl, who was obviously not out of shock yet, and he chuckled again, then faced the mirror and started drying his hair.

"Matt..." Vivian teared up after coming back to her senses. And she hurried toward him. "Wh... When did you come back?"

Matt turned to her from the mirror and chuckled, seeing the expression in her eyes. And without waiting for him to answer, Vivian wrapped her arms around him with a sniff.

"Missed me that much?" Matt smirked, then scooped her up in his arms, which made her yelp from the sudden action and he started walking toward the bed. It seemed like the girl had finally realized her feelings.

Wrapping her arms around his neck, she watched the small smile on his face with a sigh.

"Matt..." she whispered, as he lowered her onto the bed.

"Shhhh... It's okay." Matt lay down beside her and nuzzled his face against her neck.

They stayed like that for some time, and only the sounds of the heavy downpour could be heard from the room.

Matt hugged her tightly after hearing her sigh again and he chuckled. "Let's keep on living this way, okay," he muttered after a while.

Vivian glanced up from his chest and watched him in wonder. Had he changed his mind? "But Matt..."

"You don't have to force yourself. I have realized that I was being selfish to ask you that... " He said softly while patting her back.

He had actually wanted to know how she felt about him, after getting a call from the girl's mother a few days ago, who had begged him to release her daughter if she didn't love him. And he could also see that she was still battling inside.

Vivian watched his expression for some seconds and slowly nodded with another sigh.

Okay, "she smiled softly while caressing his face, then straightened up and sealed his lips.
