2 The End, part 1
December 30 2199, 19:30
After a week since the initial urgency.
In an underground facility underneath the main islands of the Aldabra group of Islands, Seychelles, situated in the Indian Ocean, about two km below the surface of the earth.
An enormous facility covered almost half the entire island. The island on the surface seemed to be full of greenery, with various flora and fauna creating their own natural habitats. But such a beautiful place hid a dark secret underneath its masked beauty.
In the middle of the facility, a large room was enclosed all around by thick high-density steel. Thick steel walls sealed the space inside. On one side of the steel walls was a thick see-through glass veil, which exposed it's sealed interior.
In the very centre of the sealed room, was an elevated platform, containing a big hole in the middle. A hole which seemed to be endlessly deep. Vertically above the hole, was what seemed to be a shiny grey laser drill, coming out freshly from the sci-fi movies. The drill's mouth was glowing in an aquamarine hue and seemed to be charging itself.
On the other side of the glass veil, were many big screens and machines working. Around 15 people with white lab coats(seemingly scientists) were busy preparing on their computers. The atmosphere appeared to be very tense. The preparations seemed to have now entered its final phase.
On the contrary to all the tense atmosphere around, a middle aged man sat at the far end of the room, blankly staring at the glass room. Eyes filled with anticipation, while excitement and nervousness were all painted all over his face.
Pale skin, above average looks. Black hairs with tinges of grey, a sharp nose and a pair of deep blue eyes brimming with confidence, combined with his signature evil grin. All of it added a devilish charm to him.
He was whom everyone in the base called Dr K. The same Dr K who had been missing for almost a week now.
"Dr. K , the preparations are complete. Waiting for final confirmations to launch the FALSITY Beam to the core. "One of the scientists said waking him up from his daze.
"Hmm … finally, my long awaited dream to bring the world to a new era is about to be completed. The World, lets see how you handle the challenge I've prepared for you. Hahaha…"
A big smile was plastered all over his face. But no one knew the deep loneliness hiding within that smile.
"Emily Activate project E.N.D"
"Beep… Activating project END." An electronic voice immediately sounded throughout the whole room.
Beep… All machines functional and stabilized.
Falsity waves all around the globe in full resonance.
Magneto-electric source energy at 10%...20%...80%...100%.
Energy fully charged. Falsity beam energizing complete "
"Initiating final countdown in t-30 seconds. 30 29 28 …"

Meanwhile in Washington, inside a room, around a round table, all the bigwigs of the world were converged here.
President of USA: "Swallow, where are our people? We have to be quick. We can't let Dr.K complete whatever he is doing. The energy readings already are way too high. otherwise we will lose everything we have built until now. I want a live update after our men get there. "
A pale looking person, seemingly in his late 30s, beside him answered.
"Sir we are trying our best. Our men have infiltrated their base in Aldabra. We can't bombard nukes or any long range attacks because of their ultra-magnetic shields. We can only send our people the old fashioned way. But they have other high-end weapons. We can only wait. But sir the All-world joint council will definitely have him. After all he is only one man."
President of China: "Only one man, but one who can stir up the entire world. The inventor of both f-waves and ultra-magnetic technology. Such a genius. Sigh! Maybe we can only rest easy that he doesn't make weapons..."
President of Japan: "...."
President of France: "..."
Others : "Sigh..."
Back in Aldabra
A large ship landed on the night shore. 10 black uniformed men came out from the ship and immediately mixed with the surrounding.
"Alpha, we have reached specified island location"
" Confirmed Beta, what do you see?"
"A big base!! An enormous facility in the centre of the island!!"
For a moment, there was silence on both sides of the recorder. How could such a massive construct exist without even their slightest knowledge! Then breaking the silence, came an order.

"Order for intrusion. I repeat order to intrude and investigate!"
"Confirmed. Proceeding as per plan"
The intruders moved silently before reaching the base. Seeing the big open door and the massive elevator leading underground, it was wrong to tell that they were not scared. But still they had to follow orders.
"Alpha, target on sight. Awaiting confirmation for intrusion."
"Acknowledged. Go on Beta. And good luck!"
Getting their orders, the fifteen officers nodded to each other, gathered their courage and went inside.
Underground two 2km below the surface.
All the scientists were looking inside the glass room with excitement as the beam charged itself completely.
"10 9 8 ..."
Suddenly, a similar electronic voice echoed in the room.
"Beep… WARNING WARNING INTRUDERS DETECTED. Confirmation for activating defence turrets"
'So they are finally here!! Oh they are even sneaky!! Fools do they really think that they are here without my notice. Hehehe…' K scoffed off while smirking.
"Dr. K w..." one of them said.
"Let them be. Let them watch the beginning of the new era too. After all, that's the reason they were invited here.", grinning with an evil smile, K shrugged them off.
"Understood Dr. "

As the electronic voice reached the final moments of the countdown, everyone's heart seemed to be jumping.
*Bathum bathum*
The launch time neared and so did everyone's expectation.
"Beep...Launching FALSITY BEAM"
Just then a clear high pitched static noise echoed all around the room.
A green colored high-intensity light beam launched itself into the hole lighting the hole completely. It seemed to sparkle with a purple hue around from time to time. The beam seemed so beautiful that it could awe one's heart, yet so devastating that it could take one's life. This continued on for ten minutes….
"Beep… Time remaining to reach the 1st intersection energiser t-15 minutes. "
A few moments after the announcement, the door to the room opened as 10 people in black streamlined uniforms with guns entered through the door, and even more began to pour in. As they entered the room, they were also awestruck with the scene inside the glass room. Only after being in a dazzle for a few moments they woke up from the daze.
"Alpha, we have reached the interiors of the facility.", an officer talked into his radio.
"Good BETA. Setup the camera. I want a live update now" on the other side of the radio, a voice answered.
All the men turned on a mini sized camera on their shoulder. Although they were feeling bizarre to come until here without any hindrance, their mission was still their main priority.
They nodded to each other and one of them shouted:
"FREEZE we are from the All-world joint council. We have received information about illegal and dangerous experiments that could threaten the world, being performed here. Cease all activities and comply with our investigation."
But contrary to their expectations, no one seemed surprised at all. And even a hearty voice from the corner welcomed them!
"Welcome. Welcome ladies and gentlemen and greetings to the world, we welcome you all to our humble abode. Im Dr K, your host. You all have arrived at the best moments to view the beginning of the new era. Please ready your cameras and take your seats. Let's all commemorate this moment with silence."
As the voice filled with derision ended, a heavy pressure suddenly bore down on them. Taken aback by the sudden force, they were knocked down. Even all of their communications were cut off, but their camera was still working.
Petrified by the sudden turn of events, now they could only look at the glass room helplessly as instructed. Through their instruments all the All-world joint council were also looking at the beam which seemed so beautiful yet so devastating to them.
"Dr K !!!!" Someone seemed to remember him ou mt of his daze.
Just then an officer named Sigma mumbled tremblingly"Gravity enhancement!! And even high-intensity laser beam. But how??"
"Smart guy. Unfortunately there's no reward for you." Dr K's devilish voice sounded again at the back.
Seeing one of them behaving strangely, the one named Beta shouted at him, "Sigma get a hold of yourself."
And pointing at K he warned,"Dr K cease what you are doing now!! You are a world renowned scientist. Don't do something that may endanger the world"
But the only thing that he earned was a laugh.
"Hahaha"
One of them couldn't endure anymore and blurted out….
"You evil person release us this instance and stop whatever you are doing. Then, we can at least help you atone for your sins."
"Atone for my sins hahaha. That's the funniest thing I've heard. "
This time everyone started laughing.
Then one of them named Dr. Jill said,"hahaha sins?? We are creating the future here. You barbarians will never understand the new beginning until you see it yourself".
*Everyone else laughing.*
The officers became dumbstruck. One of them spoke while trembling
"You… you are all lunatics. How can you all do this. You'll never escape from us."
Seeing that it was becoming a bit chaotic, K interfered.
"Now now, no need to be so emotional. We are doing this for the betterment of humanity here. You all don't even understand what's happening here. So no need to create so much commotion here. Please maintain silence for your host here to carry on the show."
"..."
Just then the announcement rang...
"Beep… Falsity Beam has reached the 1st intersection energiser. Scanning energiser…
Energiser stabilized and under resonance.
Next energiser at 50km depth is responding to the magnified waves."
"Beep... Critical conditions reached for termination of Falsity beam from the source. Further charging may lead to overloading of source power. Requesting for Activation of termination procedures."
"Access permitted"
Immediately, as he finished speaking, the beam dimmed and then disappeared. The beam driller became dark and silent once again.
And then silence prevailed for sometime, followed by a big round of cheers.
"Haha finally. Congratulations Dr K. We finally achieved it. The new era can now officially begin. We can all die peacefully now." Dr. Adam said in excitement as cheers rang all over.
"Well congratulations to you all too. But sadly we all cannot witness the beginning of the new age."
Hearing this, everyone seemed a little down, but still excited.
"Well the show ended."K looked at the officers and slowly spoke.
Looking at the officer's camera, with an evil grin, he continued,"Hmm. Let's see, for my last words…oh ya…. The world, this is my last gift for you. And no need to thank me."
When the officers and the council thought things couldn't get any worse, K commanded his AI:
"Emily initiate self-destruction of the base. Command code end-001."
"Beep... command code matched. Activating self destruction sequence in T-60 seconds.
60 59 58..."
"What the..." all the officers looked dumbfounded once, not knowing what to do by the sudden words.
They began panicking, feeling the death knocking at their doors. Some of them even started trembling snd crying. But all they could do was to sit petrified.
"Please spare us." "Please mercy" "You lunatics god will never forgive you".
Some even started begging, due to the situation.
Witnessing all these, a big smile graced Kiel's face. A smile so big that it could soothe the entire world.
As the timer reached 5 ,he shouted"For the new era"
"For the new era." Similar shouts echoed throughout the room.
"3,2,1"
Booooom
*Multiple sounds of explosions and bright blinding light followed*
A short while later, everyone around the Indian Ocean could see a bright light flashing in the distance.
All the World council members "..."
The events happened so fast that everyone could only suck in a mouthful of cold air without being able to do anything. They realized that they were too late… and now could only wait for what has to come.
