Chapter 32

Haze and Dionne retired to their chambers after a long night of dancing and parties. Haze had a lot on her mind right now and that included thousands of questions about Dionne and Andreas.

"So," Haze began, sweeping her hair to one side. "What was that all about? Everyone is talking about you and Andreas earlier."

"As they should," Dionne says, avoiding her gaze. "I believe it's all part of the act. However, I am quite annoyed that he pulled out a stunt like that without consulting me first. At this rate, people will want to hear about our engagement."

Haze grinned, pointing at the stone in Dionne's neck. "That ritual is more than an engagement," she says, "You're practically married already!"

Dionne threw a pillow at her friend, covering up Haze's face. She needed her to stop talking nonsense for it made her feel very uncomfortable. The pressure of the situation is stressing her out.
