Chapter 12

Staring at the woman in front of him, Gu Lian have a deep thought. His sharp eyes makes Jiang Ran can't sit properly. She sit upright with both her hand on her knee. Gu Lian is sitting on the sofa while she is sitting on the carpet right in front of him.

"I still don't know your name. " Gu Lian finally speak after a long silent between them. Jiang Ran finally can breath properly. She give him a little smile before answering his question.

"My name is Jiang Ran. " She tell her name as if they are in class. Gu Lian nodded his head.

"Age? "

"27." She answer honestly. Gu Lian seems to be shocked with her answer. He scanned her up and down as if he is finding for something. In his eyes, she look nothing like a 27 years old woman. She look so young. But if she is saying the truth, then it's good for him.

"Family background? Occupation? " There is so much question in his mind. Jiang Ran can't tell him about her family. Seeing his wondering face, she finally said it and he at the other hand, actually shocked.

"You are from the Jiang? Then why are you here?" Asking with a shocked tone, Gu Lian stared at her blankly. Jiang Ran smile in vain before telling him everything. She don't know why but he seems to be someone she can rely on.

"I ran away from an arranged marriage. " Being honest to him, Jiang Ran felt comfortable. Gu Lian shocked once again. How can that woman bluntly tell him everything?

"So you ran away from an arranged marriage. Knowing that you have no job and have been living under your parents for 27 years? " Gu Lian summarized all the information she got from her. Jiang Ran can only nod her head.

"You are really something. " Gu Lian let a hard sigh. In his opinion, what she did is the same as suicidal. Have nothing at all but leave everything behind her. Thankfully she met him. If else, she will meet someone else. Right?

"So where do you plan to go after this? " Gu Lian crossed his arms on his chest and look into her eyes deeply. Jiang Ran can only smile warily. "I have nowhere else to go. If you don't mind, can I live in your house? " She asked shamelessly making Gu Lian smile cracked.

'This woman is really something.' He can only think of that when she said so. Staring into her eyes, Gu Lian tried to surf into her mind. What have she done to him?

"You can. In one condition. " He seem to be thinking for a while. Jiang Ran waited patiently. Knowing that it's actually rude to ask for such a thing when they are actually a stranger.

"Marry me. Be my lover. " Gu Lian look at her from head to toe. That makes Jiang Ran smiled warmly. What a proposal. But deeply she actually feel at ease. She is willing to be his woman.

Who will reject such a handsome and well being man as a husband? Only a crazy person. And plus, she is comfortable with him. And also, he seems to live alone. And that's all is heaven because she will not have to face other people.

It will only be just them. And when he go to work, it will only be her.
