18 The Forbidden fruit (2)

I had a great dream that night so did he, our minds were taken back to the day he and I shared a kiss, the night I fell in love with him even though it took me a while to admit my feelings for him. Somehow I was awaken by him talking in his sleep 'Lindy get up I have to take you home… the rain has stopped pouring hard' I got up and went to him cause I was already speechless, was totally out of words and I realised that he is definitely my Abraham and I am his Sarah, no matter what kind of obstacles my try and separate us! But in the end we will be together. I did what anybody could do or any girl on her boyfriend. I decided to kiss him on the forehead as well but he didn't wake up and I chose to kiss his lips, they were so cold, soft and gentle. To my surprise he pushed me back and jumped out of the couch.

"Sli… I told you… I told you before that I don't love you but I love your sister…" he expressed shaking, he folded his arms. He stared at me as if I was some piece of trash.

"Babe, what are you talking about?" I asked for I was confused seeing him in the state he was in. I finally realised that Sli was really after my man.

"Are you even that cruel, that you can try and get into bed with your sister's boyfriend? What's the matter with you" he continued. I just looked at him as he came down on me. "Are you not going to apologize for your behaviour" he was fuming and I knew for sure that there was no other girl involved in his life since I was gone.

"Joseph Victor Radebe, would you please shut up!" I spoke with a calm voice. To my rescue, we heard voices on the background of Musa, Mercy, Trevor and Slindile.

"I know that Lindy wouldn't spend a night alone with J.R" said Sli. They were busy quarrelling about the both of us.

"What makes you say that? Trevor asked "they are lovers for goodness sake"

"I think we should knock, just to find out if they are together or not" said Mercy

"And that, will make the two of you silent you know" Musa said. They kept on talking while they stood by the door.

I quickly unlocked the door and opened it; they were all surprised to see J.R still fully dressed in his last night's evening clothes. To their second astonishment was 'who opened the door for them' Sli was the last person to enter the room. Both J.R and I were standing closely to the door.

"Morning guys" I said, they all turned around in suspense.

"Did you guys uhm…do it?" asked Musa as he pretended to be coughing, looking at us in disbelief.

"Ah, ah Musa you don't ask that kind of a question to your elders" said Mercy.

"Oh no," Musa exclaimed "I was looking up to you guys"

"You are the man my friend, my Monsieur" Trevor was over the moon.

"Guys what are you talking about?" I probed in astonishment.

"Guys before you answer that question please tell me, who gave Sli my hotel key?" J.R furiously probed.

"What key?" asked Mercy.

"I think I have to go speak to the manager…" he was overreacting. That showed me how devoted he was to me, he wouldn't do anything to hurt my feelings, that's what I promised myself not to do anything to hurt him. I stood in front of him and gazed into his eyes.

"My love…" I said "I am wearing your ring, you slipped it last night into my finger and I reassured you that, I will love no other man as much as I love you"

"Lindy," he said "you, you agreed to marry me last night?" he couldn't believe what I just said to him, he seemed in denial. He wasn't really sure that I was really standing in front of him. The innocence in his eyes were so heart-warming. Just to look at him, I knew for sure that I have not make a mistake on agreeing to marry him. He is the man of my dreams and I love him.

"Yes, yes I did" I was already in tears because it felt all strange and it seemed as if he just wanted approval of my love for him.

"Guys are you ok?" Trevor probed; he was then bewildered by the whole situation right in front of him. I so wanted to hug J.R but his reaction scared me.

"J.R thinks that that I am Sli and I tried getting to bed with him…" I tried to explain, before I could tell everything Sli entered the room. She heard everything that I was trying to explain to three people in the room. She got into the room so agitated and furious.

"Whoa, hold it, I never tried forcing myself to get into bed with your fiancé, I only tried to kiss him and he refused" Sli exclaimed. J.R's mind then recapped. He then stared at Sli and I. he then took a deep breath. He spotted the difference between Sli and me even though we were identical twins. J.R came back to his senses.
