Empire of Souls

"Gods? Magic? Fantasy? Nonsense." An-Namrud never cared for any of those things. All that mattered was his work. The Tower of Babel. This would prove it to everyone... that gods do not exist. Until one day, it all came crashing down. His world destroyed, and his soul trapped in a never ending cycle of reincarnation. After countless cycles, he finally escaped with only the thoughts of revenge against those who had cursed him with this fate. Been away for a long time, but I am trying to make a come back to writing. Please be patient and continue to support me as I start writing again. I will try to update at least 1 chapter a week for now with more if I can.

Infiltration (3)

After Wilfred and his group left, Cladem and Grobak waited in the ruined building for an entire day. They weren't idle though, they sent out their warriors to scout out the city as well as gather as much intel as they could. It wasn't difficult for them to move around as there were an especially large number of mercenaries coming and going. No one would take notice of a few more, so Grobak's warriors had no trouble scouting out the city.

The wait was unbearable for Grobak though, who had little patience to begin with. His constant complaining earned him a slap from Cladem which sent Grobak barreling against the wall. Although it looked painful, he wasn't too injured and only lightly wiped a slight trickle of blood from his mouth while grumbling. He was annoyed, but there was no point in showing any anger which would only earn him another slap.

"Relax Grobak, their leader was most likely not in the city to begin with. It shouldn't be long."
