At the morning in the capital, some people started to wake up and prepare work, some people already finished preparing their workplace and would open their store in the few minutes.

The inner capital gate always opened with capital guards worked in shifts, while the outer gate would close from 1800 to 0600 in the morning. Every day all gate would be lined with many people from all over the place waiting to get inside the city, the only place where there was no need to waited but could get inside and outside the city was the large sanitary sewer below the capital. Some of his men oppose the idea of large sewer below the capital and the wall that should be expanded higher and larger, in case of assaulting but he convinced them to agree instead.

David stated that the city was well built and carefully designated for the time of peace and war, also anyone ready to dive underneath the sewer that carried over millions of people wasted would be either mad or foolish.

In fact, David thought otherwise but he knew only a few people would understand so he told only a few numbers of people the real reason. He remembered that Genghis Khan once said that the strength of a wall was neither greater nor less than the courage of the man who defends it. The wall was nothing without people, he built it just as a symbol of power, wanted it to help lower the hope of some noble, also to clam down those with an old view and the last reason was to fulfill his personal artistic desire. Still, It could not resemble Minas-ti…. as he hoped, since the cost would be too much and he did not want his people to suffer more.

Two carriages with the flag of royal family were on one of the east gates readied to move out of the city, they were accompanied by the troops in full gear, one was the carriage from minister Woden manor and the other was the carriage given to the emperor's representative for his departed to solve problem in the south.

The horse used by carriage from Woden's manor that was here out of the other one, was the favorite of the emperor's sister, she even used it recently to pay a visit to her brother, before the journey the new lady's maid told the guard to carefully inspect everything on the road so that the horse would not be injured. As for the reason why this one was her favorite, the maid deduced it from her master behavior that personally rode the same horse to visit her brother in consecutive after visiting him the other day, without waiting for the manor coachman to ride a carriage for her. Although, the old steward told the newly appointed maid that their master was in a hurry that day but she did not listen and argued that only a quarter needed to bring the ones for riding from the stable.

Normally, people who went on a mission could not have their family joined with the convoy but the person this time was of high social status and the one who arranged it was the emperor himself.

When the gate opened the convoy started to move slowly out of the city. The soldiers outside walked in the formation to protect both carriages, their job this time could not have any misstep as inside the representative's carriage was sat by two persons from the royal family.

"You do not need to come, just stay at home."

"Hm! Why would I?"

"I go to work, Why you behave like this? It should finish in a few months, no need to worry."

"You promised me that the war in the north would be the last and you would be with me every day when it finishes."

"It is the las…t war. I still hold my promise to you, this is not a battlefield, I won't go to war anymore."

"No, I don't want that. How can there be next war when big brother was the only one who rules the land? I want you to promise that you will stay together with me."

"After this job is done, this is emperor's order. "

"Both you and big brother just saying the same thing!"

"Promise me that you will get back after you pay a visit to your parent's grave okay?"

After a few days, the convoy reached the area close to the mausoleum of the royal family. The mausoleum was the tomb for every direct line of the royal family, it was located not too far away from David's birthplace.

"Dear, let's go to my village, well it was a town now. You never visited it before. The forest where we first met was now gone, though."

"Fine, but we should not make to much fuss with our convoy," Woden told the soldier to waited at the mausoleum and went on with his wife and the servants. The guard's captain asked Woden to brought a platoon with him but Woden declined, the guard captain then asked to at least bring him with them. It was not like the guard captain really worried anyway, he knew full well that Woden did not really need anyone to protect him.

Woden walked beside his wife until they reached the village which became a tiny town, even if they come only a handful of people but the mayor hurry ran to greet them when he heard about them from the gate guard.

The mayor was local and one of the students in Mr.Abra class, although, their looks were quite different but they were childhood friends, he even got a noble rank of baron by her brother, he did not want to leave his birthplace and declined David's offer for a job in the capital.

The mayor asked them to have a meal at his house before they left and they agreed. While the mayor led them through the town, Mrs. Abra saw the mayor and came to greet.

Later at the dining table, Woden asked his wife and the mayor who was that old woman. The mayor told him that was their teacher's wife, she now living alone after her husband and her oldest son died, and now her youngest son still under his term as a soldier in a central are garrison. Woden told the mayor that he could use recommend the boy to another job but the mayor told him that the boy was so eager and wanted to be the soldier like his father and brother. The mayor also stated that the boy was a just person who worshiped David and joined the army to fight for David. Hearing that Woden stopped inquired any further.

Since central garrisons were very safety, Woden guessed that it would not be dangerous.
