Emerald Ocean

{Announcement} Got a notification about being put in some kinda promising books event or whatever which I guess could be considered feedback so I'ma get to work on this book again... Gotta finish that there last arc... My little Gieco Lizard deserves death!!! --- Inside a garden full of towering trees untold years old that sadly have inferiority complexes caused by the never ending giant tower that supports the sky that the garden sits in front. Upon the branch of one of the smallest trees in the garden, the last of it's kind of the tallest it's breed of tree was ever been able to grow as well as the oldest, sits a beautiful fairy who seems but the size of a squirrel emotionless sipping tea watching the leaves fall off the leaves of the tree as if having already given up on life when suddenly a wind passes by the eternally still garden and everything gently quakes as the infinite number of lines along the towers base lights up gently with a blazing emerald flame that is bordering on black. As if struck by a earth quake the woman falls out of her chair unbearably shaking as her eyes lock upon a thing far away in the infinitely large garden not a plant, not a tree, but the ground itself. A crazy and hopeful fire begins to burn deep within the beautiful fairies eyes as reaches out her hand and with a determined look shatters the very core of her soul sending a piece of herself out into the earth and herself tumbling listlessly into a deep sleep alone on the branch. Hope still burning in her eyes even as they slowly close and a twisted smile upon her lips. Like a bolt of lightning the core of her soul that was a part of her soul but not at the same time takes flight towards the sky circling around the crown of the small tree twice before gently bumping into the already sleeping woman as if in sorrow before flashing away faster then the eye could see reaching a distance so far you wouldn't be able to walk it in a million years even if you could travel at the speed of light and diving into the soil of a solitary mound of dirty diving deeper and deeper it eventually stops and flashes so bright it can even be suttly seen from the garden above as the deep blue light like the ocean fuses into the very core of an single solitary atom inside the soil as if slipping through a crack. Across a vast and unending expanse of sky a brilliant flash of blue light up the very core of a universe before zooming away in the exact instant it appeared as if nothing their ever mattered not the massive throne, the unending number of people fighting for it, nor the ghastly little hut that's door has never opened in all of its existence and that space has warped the top of that no eyes made of flesh has ever seen and no man has ever hoped to enter. One, Ten, A Hundred, A thousand, A Million, A Billion, an untold number more stars pass by as they begin to trail together before the light finally find a crack. Not in space, not in time, not in anything but itself simply existing like it's always existed. The space between filled with nothing. Diving into the crack without even slowly down the blue light seems to fade from existence as if it was never there. Slowly but surely as the blue light fades so does the crack before with it's last peek a suttle flash of Emerald escapes being vanishing from sight. The gentle beam of light flew out never stopping till it struck a nearby planet. As the light was absorbed by that planets inhabitants something... Awoke.

Ch. 93 A Heavy Heart

Reaching Ellies side I gently sat down upon her lap and she nervously began to pet me. "What happened?" Hmm... With a thought I formed a message for Ellie she read it outloud feeling Addie's hand on her shoulder. "Nothing important you guys should get some sleep we are fine here for the time being." Looking at each other Addie laughted gently at Ellies annoyed but greatly tired face. I guess interupting their sleep then keeping them up worried about me and their own safety got to them. With a hidden smile raising up the bottom of the mask slightly due to the movement of her face Addie pulls Ellie into the sleeping bag. Ellie went begrudgingly like a child being forced to sleep when it didn't want to but cuddling me and Addie she eventually passed out as the exhaustion got to her. Climbing out of the sleeping bag I sat down seeing Addie's curious eyes watching me I winked but didn't have anyway to tell her anything as I laid down to begin producing mist while healing. Slowly but surely the whole hut began to fill with mist as I collected it and mass produced it as to not startle the people outside in the streets.

Rumors had already spread of the beast that only kills the evil. I knew that despite it not being true they would still run in fear when they saw it... It took an hour of gentle breathing to fill the whole hut with mist before I let it go stretching like someone who was cramped and trapped in a small space for far to long the mist expanded like a bomb quickly covering the whole sky and streets of the city in mist the whole city paused. Looking up upon the billowing mists fear apparent in their eyes. Not fear of the strong or fear of the helpless fate but the fear of the unknown. It terrified them. Many immediately turned to run towards nearby buildings or towards the edge of street but as the mist spread everywhere they began to find they were slower and slower a headache spreading amongst the crowds as the whole city panicked. Tears and prayers began to spread amongst those with no where to run as they realized the mist had covered the whole town and they were to far away from the towns edge. Those who were at the towns edge were the most terrified as they found that the headache that the others felt from the pressure on their eyes was different for them. Their neighbors and partners had begun to freeze up or cry tears of blood as slowly but surely everyone fell over blood leaking from their eyes and ears. One by one the people along the edge of town begun to fall.

Ignoring Alex's notifications, I focused on condensing the next group of claws to kill another human. I spread my mist inside the peoples heads already but I can't possibly condense enough claws and control them in sync to kill all these people at once so like a plague spreading through the streets people began to fall from the edge of town in. Some managed to cry for a minute or two but only that as they fell like the others. No one able to run outside of town as the citizens all began to loose hope and fall upon the ground the people at the center of town quickly forming a mob storming the church in hope of aid as they quickly began to kill the privledged class of the city the weak guards baring the churches emblem and the priests being ripped the shred by the angry mob. Reaching a certain point in the city I began to run into the unknown residents of the city houses full of Skeletons and little vampires everywhere. Forcing my mist inside all their heads alike I have no mercy for the dead either the skeletons took the longest to kill as their bony heads lack brains or weak points however the vampires had some insane vitality as they rushed out of their individual houses and began to kill the citizens in the streets stealing their blood in the hopes of healing the damage that is being done to them as they also fled the town.

Swaths of skeletons following each vampire like a platoon following it's captain as they stormed through the crowds of panicking humans slaughtering their way towards the outskirts of the city slowly due to the influence of the mist but none managing to make it past the outskirts as the vampire leading each team fell to the ground followed by the confused skeletons who didn't know who to follow anymore their dumb little bone heads swiveling around as they look for the highest ranked undead in the area waiting for their orders but the pain in their heads never stopped as one by one they tumbled to the ground the spirit leaving their hallow eye sockets like long dead sun beat skeletons sitting in the squallor of the streets almost as if they were never alive in the first place. As I reached towards the center of town I absorbed the excess mist and began to meditate without stopping my massacre after all theirs a lot of people I'll probably have to over load to keep up to the little ones expectations... Also never bad to get to my max level as fast as possible.

As the sun lit up the ghastly cloud of mist that gently obscured a town the world seemed to become bright the green mist become greener and the blood upon the ground showing more crimson at the center of town the masses were all dead already. Nothing but corpses everywhere. Not a single soul appearing to be left standing inside the ghost town. It took me five hours of constant attacking to kill off the town. Crawling into the sleeping bag seeing the sleeping Addie cuddled up with Ellie I smile and curle up ontop of Ellies chest and snooze off for the first time in a long time. I don't need to sleep but it's nice sometimes. I am quite exhausted after all.

----- Eliza, Shadow of the Light

Looking out over the town standing on the watch tower of the manors gates she can see the many corpses of people who died trying to storm the manor looking to be saved. The skeletons and vampires amongst the crowd made her face twitch filled with mixed emotions and a heavy heart she turned back towards the manor the secret door that leads to the underground prison left open she turned and walked down the tower leaving this accursed place for good.

A short thirty minutes of walking later after leaving the town she turns back looking in the sky she saw the beam of light signalling the departure of the little ghost she smiled. At least this arid curse will be gone... I technically did my job right? I wonder how much trouble I'm gonna get into... Execution is a real possibility... With a sigh she turned towards the road to the capital and began to walk. No turning back she followed what she thought was right and she cannot change a thing she may only accept her fate with a clear concious.
