Elysium: The Divine System

What happens when an angel whose task is to protect humans has no understanding of the very people he needs to protect? You turn him into a human and make him live as one. The only way he can return to his home is by reaching level 100 and completing the tasks assigned to him by a system you created to teach unruly angels a lesson. Throughout history, many have questioned whether celestial beings existed.

Though many were sceptical at first because they weren't familiar with them, with time, that belief grew more obvious. The human race took comfort in the knowledge that there were powerful forces protecting them in the world in hopes that their lives would have meaning and purpose.

Since humans were unable to protect themselves from the world's atrocities, they placed a great deal of faith in these beings. And so, the purpose of these celestial beings called angels, came to be.

Humanity's protection is their only purpose.

Angels played an important role in the five Realms.

They primarily served as messengers between Being X and his creation, or as mediums. It quickly became apparent that having simple roles like talking and monitoring humans wasn't enough.

Maintaining discipline and avoiding tragedies, wars, and so forth, were essential.

For the sake of bettering the world and preventing its destruction at all costs, a system was implemented in the Heavenly Realms where specific roles were assigned to each rank.

Just like humans had hierarchies within their society, so did angels.

Among angels there were three classes:

Throne, Cherubim, and Seraphim in the High Court, Dominions, Virtues, and Powers in the Mesial Court, and Principalities, Archangels, and regular Angels in the Nether Court.

Within the system, there were divisions with equally important tasks, and even though ranks were in place, no division had superiority.

Certain tasks were more challenging than others, however. The Power Division was an example of this.

Due to the high intensity and consequences of failure, it was also the only division with tiers.

In addition, they rarely had the opportunity to work directly with humans or interact with them.

Even though most angels will never admit it, it was a relief not to mingle with humans. Due to their inability to understand humans, angels were difficult to deal with, especially when they came into contact with humans.

Their understanding of the human mind and thinking process was alien to them. I won't go into too much detail about the inner workings of the system, but for the Power Division, the assignment of tiers is critical to its integrity, and it will also be relevant to the story.

It was divided into seven tiers: soldier, mid-level soldier, high-level soldier, high ranking officer, commander, chief, and grand chief.

This position was never changed or altered in the history of our creation, it was awarded based on performance.

Angels were powerful beings with specific roles.

Despite their different rankings, they had one thing in common. A master. A creator.

And it was an unspoken rule that no one could disobey him.
